Review: The Kana Workbook by P.G.O'Neill is a programmed self-study guide to the two Japanese Kana. Hirigana, the signs used for Japanese words, are introduced first in a systematic manner along with practice lessons. After the reader is fluent with the alphabet, the Katakana, signs used for foreign words, are then presented. All in all, this is an excellent text for self-motivated students of the Kana.
