Rating: Summary: A happy companion¿ we loved it Review: Along with my travel buddies we used this book to give us an inside track on the nightlife of Europe. We were not disappointed. We found the book's chapter intros informative and entertaining. The author asks not to merely witness the history of Europe but to make some of your own... we did. Matched with the other book we had - Let's Go Europe, the Let's Party guide had a more refreshing and personal approach. I personally liked it because it did not try to be all things for all people. Aside from the chapter intros, the reviews are humorous and are, for the most part, right-on. I was surprised to find, three years after the book was published, that some but not all owners of bars and clubs still honored the Party Passport that was included with the book. The free goodies in the passport more then paid for the price of the book. With the exception of a few editorial botch-ups, I recommend this book and would like to be notified when the next edition will be out. Jerry C.
Rating: Summary: Don't just study the history of Europe, Make your own. Review: Don't forget, Europe is populated with real people. People who live, love, work... and party. After all, your heading to Europe to do more then just view the sights. While there, you'll want to gallivant and taste the various flavors each country has to offer. Let's Party! Europe covers a broad geographical range, from the "free-life" autonomous community of Christiania in Copenhagen, to the "free-love" islands of Greece. I point you to where the action is, whether your interest is cafes or pubs, beaches or dance clubs... Enjoy.
Rating: Summary: When will we see the 1997 edition? Review: Great concept.......liked the book ....but the big
drawback is its not current anymore.
When will we see the NEW edition
Rating: Summary: The Ultimate Guide to Fun in Europe Review: Hey, if you're on your way to Europe and you are planningon exclusively taking the church & museum tour -- DON'T BUYTHIS BOOK! If, on the other hand, you are going to mix it up with the 'locals', than pick up this book. PLAYBOY liked it, you will too!
Rating: Summary: And who edited this book? Review: I do applaud the authors at what must have been a galiant attempt at their first travel book. The premise sounded interesting -- a definite break from the normal "and don't forget to tour this museum for the 3rd time" fare we get from most travel guides. BUT and that's a big BUT -- the attempt left me dry. It only took 15 minutes thumbing through this book to discover that it's merely the diary of friends gallavanting through Europe looking for the next bar or the next free drink. There are several errors in spelling and grammar, and geographical errors that makes me wonder who edited this book -- "in the far nortwest corner of France, you'll find Spain" is a good example. And since the book was published well over 2 years ago, I wonder if the allure of the "free drinks" and "free cover charge" you get with the "free passport" is good any more. Amazon - take this one off your list......
Rating: Summary: The book turns Europe into a playground Review: My girlfriend and I took a vacation to get away from it all. We liked the book because it had attitude plus it set a tone that reminded us not to take things so serious and relax. My younger brother is planing a trip to Europe this summer unless a new edition is out, I will be passing down my worn-down-torn-up copy to him.
Rating: Summary: Excellent, a must have for anyone who loves to have fun. Review: This book helped me and my friends while backpacking in Europe. We used the standard travel guidebooks during the day for sightseeing and interesting facts, but this book is a must have for the "nightlife" and entertainment when the sun goes down. It helped us tremendously to find places that were fun, cool and interesting. A must pack item for the young, fun seeking backpacker.

Rating: Summary: This is an obvious Rip Off Review: This book is an obvious rip-off of the excellent Let's GO parody "Let's Blow thru Europe" without the sophisticated wit and charm that made "Let's Blow" a cult classic.
