Summary: Fun to read! Exciting way to teach Geography.
Review: A lot of fun to read, which is why I found one exception. Nada, Texas, is a Czech word for "Hope". It is pronounced "nay-da". Which means it can't be on your pessimistic map. A small point, I know, and only someone from this 97 person community would know this. What a wonderful collection! I bought the book because it has Nada, and many other wonderful communities divided into great maps! Wouldn't it be great to write about how these different places got their strange names!

Summary: An excellent book and a good for a laugh anytime.
Review: I did a whole Social Studies project around this book. It is very funny and interesting. I especially liked the pessimistic map. It had cities like Hell, Michigan. So, if you are interseted in U.S. geography and need a good laugh, I recommend this book to you.
