Review: This is a fantastic book. Great for all ages. It takes a good book for me to stay interested, but I could not put this one down. From the first page to the last I was totally intrigued. I was taken back to my own childhood and the fantasies from those golden days when my father would tell me stories such as this one.

The story of the boy mysteriously finding himself in the time of pirates, treasures, and ships, is so enticing and exciting. To imagine that in the mist of all this he finds true freindship and love is so incredible. I loved the mystery of the mine, the treasure, the pirates. Especially old Split Eye. He is a fantastic character in this book. I also like the way the author "keeps you on your toes" with this book. He keeps it going, making it fun and easy to read.

I highly reccomend this book for all ages. I have read it with my 8 and 12 year old. They loved it. It's a book that can by enjoyed by the whole family.
