Rating: Summary: Detailed, wide-ranging, and entertaining guide to Andalusia Review: I very much appreciated Mr. Jacobs thorough research into all aspects of Andalusia. He puts the area into historical perspective, introduces the viewpoints of early non-Spanish travelers, and maintains a very high level of objectivity. At the same time, he is able to give his readers a fresh contemporary perspective through his own eyes and ears and those of his local contacts. Incredibly well-woven prose that covers everything from the Alhambra to bull-fighting to tapas. I very-much appreciated having this book with me when I traveled through southern Spain. It is a shame that the book is out of print.
