Rating: Summary: Small Mexican Jewels Review: This book takes you thru a journey around some of Mexico's most beautiful, colorful, and picturesque towns. I personally loved it! Some of its many pictures revel the ancient traditions of the indigenous people of Mexico, while others show the great influence Spain left in Mexico. It's an excellent resource book that can be used by a traveler to learn more about Mexico's most beautiful towns. It describes the main attractions of the villages, as well as festive days celebrated and observed by the locals. I have personally visited four of the towns mentioned in the book, and highly recommend everybody to either visit the towns, or definitely read the book to learn more about the Mexican way of life in a small town. The pictures in the book range from the traditional 17th century churches, to the architectual highlights of each town, to pictures of native people showing their colorful, tribal dresses and dishes. Excellent!
