Review: Viviane Wayne is an exquisite writer. In 159 pages the author takes us on a journey through Turkey dating from 1453 (when Turkey was a possession of the Ottoman Empire) to the present. It is an intensely personal journey. On reading this story, I felt that Ms. Wayne had taken me by the hand on an adventure. Each page held new discoveries, historically, geneologically and psychologically. Her writing is beautifully crafted. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for something out of the ordinary. A marvelous read.
