Rating: Summary: Disappointing Review: Fairly entertaining, but underdelivers. I was expecting crazier tales. For example, if you are shocked by sex toys falling out of luggage, surprised that Texans and people from the Middle East tipping a lot and love hearing about supermodels using drugs and having crazy parties, this was written for you. Otherwise, it will just make you really glad you don't work at a hotel and wonder why anyone thinks it could be glamorous.
Rating: Summary: not for someone in the industry Review: for someone in the tourism industry, this is a rather boring read as nothing much is new under the sun! but as another person said, it is good airplane reading, very light and mildly entertaining
Rating: Summary: great stuff Review: I really enjoyed this book. As someone who spends a lot of time travelling abroad and staying in five star hotels this is was a real eye-opener. The book is packed with great stories, anecdotes and loads of celebrity gossip and I found it hilarious, entertaining and the prefect thing to take on a long haul flight. I read it one sitting. I couldn't put it down. I liked the 24 hour format and I would recommend to anyone who is at all curious and who has a sense of humour.
Rating: Summary: A very funny read Review: Terrific plane reading. Facile but entertaining tale of the underbelly of a 5-Star luxury hotel in London. Funny and sometimes outrageous.
Rating: Summary: Boring Stories of A Slacker Review: Well, we learn that people are people even while in a luxury hotel...not too surprising. And we learn that Anonymous is a rather pompus lazy fellow who likes to sleep and drink on the job while feeling superior to the guests.
Not too surprising that fellows like that exist.
Surprising that I spent my time on it, though. Save yours.
