Summary: A tutor in my own home
Review: I absolutely love this CD-Rom. I've always had a problem learning spanish from a book. For one, I had no clue as to how most of the words were pronounced. With this item, you see the word and hear it spoken. The coolest part is you can record yourself saying the words, and it will play it back for you and grade you on how native you sounded. Plus you can have interactive conversations! Also includes talking dictionary, cultural movies, internet lessons, progress checks, and much more. It's worth the money, and better than any other teacher who's tried to force feed this language down my throat. Move at your own pace and have fun learning for a change.

Summary: Amazing amazing amazing
Review: I cannot stop raving about this program (though I should note that I have the more recent version, Learn to Speak Spanish Deluxe, which has considerably more content). This is my dream program, and I am a language teacher, so I know what to look for: audio for virtually every word/phrase/conversation, progressive lessons, exercises, videos, etc. etc. It is logically arranged, and covers absolutely every basic topic imaginable. It has tons of features but will not be overwhelming for someone who takes the time to get used to them. You will certainly not be sorry if you purchase this and dedicate yourself to it. I started from scratch and now feel completely at ease with a homestay that I will be doing soon in Ecuador.
