Summary: Very interactive and fun
Review: My 4 year old grandaughter is thrilled each time she reads this book. She loves the characters, sounds and many ways you can read the book. The program is very easy to use. She likes that it can be read in more than one language. Excellent fun!

Summary: Pre-school friendly
Review: My three year old granddaughter loves this program! I sent it to help her make the transition from her mountain home in Colorado to visit me at my beach-side home in Hawaii. Her mother says she has great fun learning about the sea from a distance, and can use the program with little assistance needed.

Summary: Excellent
Review: My three year old son really likes this CD. He is bilingual, and he gets to choose what language to listen to. He likes the clickable stickers and has really learned how to master the mouse. He also has fun building the sand castles. I really like all the features on this CD. I wish I could find more multilingual CD's like this one.

Summary: doesn't run well on XP
Review: The book runs on my XP machine, but not well. It reads through and I can click all the words and hear the pronouciation, but it crashes when I click certain "clickables." I try it on a older machine (windows 98) and it works perfectly. A wonderful kids story, however, and I am using it to teach my 5 year old to read.
Recommended if you can downgrade. Otherwise, your kid will get upset very soon if it crashes all the time.

Summary: Some of the best software available
Review: The Broderbund series of Living Books (also sold under The Learning Company and GT Interactive labels) are some of the best software titles I have ever used for children 2 to 5. Although they were written in the early to mid-90's (and run in 640X480-256 color mode), they deliver wonderful graphics, a very responsive and easy-to-use interface and contain tons of the silly stuff that kids love. I have over 500 educational titles on my home CD-server, but I still consider these some of the very best. Kids can easily play it by themselves and they'll want to see the stories over and over again.

Summary: Great for bilingual children!
Review: The language option reinforces language learning in bilingual children as well as teaching kids computer skills and literacy skills. It is a really fun and educational activity that kids are drawn to. Worth the money!

Summary: A Warm Story
Review: The reader reads this Mercer Mayer classic at a very slow pace. There are some cute surprises as the child clicks on parts of the drawings (mailbox opens, birds flutter etc.) and there is a limited sand castle building component among the choices, but I found the CD to be relatively slow as compared to other early learning CD's. The surprise was my grand daughter's reaction. This was one of her most frequently chosen items when we sat down to the computer together. Now 4 and more interrested in her alphabet and skills, the CD sits unchosen but it was probably her favorite at ages 2 and 3!

Summary: Excellent for 3 year old beginners!
Review: This game is paced exactly right for pre-schoolers. My daughter learned how to manipulate the mouse with this game and still finds all the surprises in the book interesting (time and time again!). If you are looking for a place to start with your child on the computer, "Just Grandma and Me" is an excellent and fun way to do it.
