Rating: Summary: Great fun with the Frizz Review: My daughter (age 6) loves the Magic School Bus television series and she loves the computer games also. These games mirror the educational series while adding a great deal of interactivity and fun/educational games for children. My daughter saves her allowance in order to purchase these titles on her own. They are great fun.
Rating: Summary: Kept my 5 year old very busy for a long time Review: My five year old son is a science buff and really enjoys the Magic School Bus series of software. This one appears to have many different areas to click on. His favorite game is where you pick between 2 bugs or predators of insects and they "fight". Through this game they explain how some insects use various secret weapons (smell or acid for example) to beat even larger bugs or animals. My son will play this for a long time if I let him.
Rating: Summary: excellent educational and fun software Review: My five year old son just loves this software. He likes the cool graphics and the games. I like the fact that it is educational and fun at the same time. More than other software, this one offers a tremendous amount of activities with many new adventures to be had with a click of the mouse. I would definately buy other magic school bus software for my child.
Rating: Summary: makes learning fun Review: My five year old son plays this game endlessly and now knows an astounding amount about life in the ocean. I believe it is rated for kids eight and up, but he has been playing with varying levels of skill and very little frustration for over a year. Even our three year old loves to play, although he doesn't manage the games very well. As a plus to parents, there is very little about this game that is irritating, even when played over and over and over. You may find your child telling the corny jokes, though. All in all, a wonderful learning experience. We will be looking at other Magic School Bus CD-Rom games.
Rating: Summary: The software quality and educational value is excellent! Review: My son (6 yrs old) enjoys the Magic School Bus videos and books, so I figured he would like this too...He LOVES it. He's had it for a year and still enjoys it. We have added three additional titles and he loves them too. My husband is a computer instructional designer and is always frustrated with poor quality software for kids, but this is well written and thought out software that even he approves of!I would recommend any of these titles you think your kid would enjoy!
Rating: Summary: My 5-year loved it! Review: My son learned so much from this game. I could not get him off the computer! He learned all about archaeology and uses words like gems and minerals in context. I love his enthusiasm.
Rating: Summary: A nice effort but confusing to find all the parts of the cd Review: My son, who is 4, is a budding marine biologist (this week). He got this for Christmas and can play it alone. He seems to like the software very much. It is packed full of info on marine life, and their habitats. I just found it a bit hard to navigate. It is not clear what you press to get to another level. Still I think it is an excellent cd for the price.
Rating: Summary: Rainforest!!? Review: The rainforest comes alive with this MSB issue. Microsoft shows us why most of the cures for our maladies, etc. comes from rainforests. And, why we shouldn't keep destroying them. Kids learn all about the value of a rainforst. My seven year old played the heck out of this selection, and when we visited a real rain forest in Nov. 2003, he knew what to expect. And, of course, MSB helped...
Rating: Summary: Love It! Review: This is a great value. I would highly recommend this to anyone. It is fun and educational at the same time. My son loves this CD.
