Summary: A Catz Meow !
Review: Always wanted a cat but hate to do all the dirty work ? Here's the solution: Catz 4 !

Catz 4 is an exciting program that is sure to appeal to people of all ages- whether they like virtual pets or not. The adorable (and retarded looking beacuse of their big eyes) Catz act just like real cats, they fight, they eat, you can train them, they fall in love and even breed ! But unlike real cats, they do not need a bath or go to the toilet. These sweethearts will happily roam around the different playscenes or your desktop while you work .

In Catz 4 you will get 10 different breeds of Catz and a Bunnyz to adopt. You will also get 4 new playscenes, other the the "House" playscene, a circus, an island, the alps and Arabia. If that's not enough, there even an editor program to make your own playscenes from photos you take !

With hundreds of new toys for your Catz and Bunnyz to play you or you Petz will never get bored! There's even a Publisher tool and a Web Pack to help you build a webpage of these Petz.

The most exciting feature of this program is that you can actually talk to your Catz! They will listen to you and even regconise their own name !

Buy both Catz 4 and Dogz 4 and watch your Petz live and play together !

Summary: Great Game!!
Review: Catz (and Dogz) 4 are wonderful games, especially if you can't have real pets (for any reason). Great graphics, fun, and they really add a lot of reality to the game. I guaruntee you will have a great time with this game!!

Summary: Cool game, but not as good as Catz 3
Review: Catz (and Petz) is one of the best programs ever made, but I was a bit dissappionted by this version. Not much has changed from Catz 3, and some of the best clothes from version 3 aren't available. The new 'bunnyz' aren't able to have babies. When I imported my tabby, Spooky, into the game, he changed from a cheerful Catz that came when he was called and would do tricks (very uncommon for a Catz) to a sulky, mean one. This happend with two of my others as well. I ended up uninstalling it and re-installing Catz 3. Don't get me wrong; it's still a very well done game. However, you already have Catz 3, I recommend sticking with it, at least until the price goes down. Catz from version 4 work in 3 (I'm not sure about toyz and clothes), so you won't be left out. If you don't have Catz yet, consider either 3 or this version-they both are great!
~~Meows, ComputerCat, who is sticking by Petz 3

Summary: Exellent at first....but still good to this day!
Review: Catz 4 is a great game that even adults would love! You can train you pet to be a mouser, and breed them with other petz. And if you have Winzip(a must!), you can get new breedz, toyz, clothez, and you can adopt other people's petz! I really love the breeding, it is the best aspect to this game! Breeding mixed breedz is the best, because you can start your own litterz! I reccommend it, even though I got bored of it once, but I still got back into it and love it!

Summary: Purrrrfect!
Review: Everything the box says you can do, you can!(except for the talking to them because the microphone stinks)The only times a cat doesn't do a trick for a treat is if it's hungry or has a personality that just wants the food(like an always hungry Persian or cute but obnoxious Chinchilla Persian) It is very realistic, and the babies are so adorable!

Summary: wow!
Review: I absolutely LOVE this game! I first played it last year and was immediately hooked! The petz in this game are wonderful, perfect for people who have allergies but just as great for people like me who have real cats or other pets. This game is also great for small children who parents feel aren't ready to have a pet yet, but your petz can run away if neglected or abused so I think this game is suitable for ages 7 and up (mature 7 year olds). I know adults who love this game, so it's great for all ages as an alternative or additional pet or pets. Another good quality to this game is that you can download breeds of petz, clothes, playscenes, toys, programs, and sounds from thousands of different sites (make sure any site you download anything from is a secure one) into the Catz 4 program.

Below are the main good points of this game, and below those are the bad ones.

MAIN GOOD POINTS:
*New Voice Acting Feature allows you to teach your petz voice commands with the right equipment.
*The Playscene Editor allows you to create your own playscenes that your petz can romp around in. You can also edit any playscenes you create or download from the internet at anytime.
*You can adopt as many petz as you like, but beware that your petz will run away if neglected or abused.
*You can breed your petz and create long lines of generations.
*If you buy Dogz 4 and already have Cats 4 your dogz and catz can play together.
*The game comes with 10 breeds to choose from, including bunnies, and lots of toys and clothes, as well as several travel scenes and home scenes which your petz can play in. But as I said before, to get more breeds, toys, clothes, playscenes and more you have to download them from sites on the internet.
*You can take pictures of your petz.
*Your petz make life-like sounds and can do lots of fun tricks. *The sound effects in playscenes are life-like as well (like the sounds of the ocean in the Beach scene).
*Your petz can operate things for themselves, like the music box or a roll-up rug from the Toys Closet.
*Petz are usually very good mothers to their young, and may improve in their maternal skills as they have more kittens.
*Petz grow in size as they get older. The life stages are Newborn, Infant, Kitten, and Adult. If a female cat has a kitten, the new kitten will start out very small as a newborn and will stay with it's mother until it is in the Kitten stage. If a pet is adopted, it comes from the adoption center in the Kitten stage.
*You can spay and neuter your petz if you wish to do so.
*Do you really need any more reasons to buy this game?

MAIN BAD POINTS:
*The bunnies that come with the Petz 4 program should be breedable (they're already neutered or spayed when you adopt them).
*The Dogz 4 program should come with the Catz 4 program so you don't have to buy them seperately.
*Petz should be able to have more than one kitten (or puppy, if you have Dogs 4) at a time (litters).
*Other than those, I can't really think of any other main (big) problems in Catz 4.

Summary: Good, but...
Review: I find this game to be very enjoyable. The graphics are very good and the sound, while a bit annoying, is realistic. There is 1 new breed- Bunnyz- and more playscenes with themed toys to go with them. The playscene editor is especially fun! There's a slight problem though- it crashes easily. When this happens, the snake basket in Arabia disappears. I was disappointed about this, and the fact Catz could only have 1 kitten at a time. That alone would have made me rate it higher.
