The DF24's successful union of form and function will delight audio and design enthusiasts alike. Sanus uses a base designed by the Cramer Studio, an internationally recognized design firm, which employs NuStone to stabilize the structure. NuStone's mineral/poly composites deliver excellent acoustic properties and have the look and weight of granite or marble. Sleek black pillars rise 24 inches from the bases and cut an elegant profile. The pillars--made of rigid steel and finished with a black, textured powder-coat--can be filled with shot or sand to increase the pillars' mass and reduce unwanted resonance, resulting in better stability and tighter bass from your speakers. Adjustable carpet spikes and custom rubber feet help the DF24s improve your speakers' sound on any floor. Rigid steel top plates and L-bracket mountings are included; both are finished in black powder-coat. For nonbolt speakers, Sanus includes reusable adhesive tape. The DF24 Speaker Stands support 25 pounds each and are recommended for use with bookshelf speakers.
