Summary: Does the job nicely
Review: I am very happy with this box.

Note that the picture at Amazon as of November 3, 2004 is not accurate. It shows only three jacks on the front of the unit, but there is actually a S-video jack also. One S-video jack is provided for each input. The documentation on TERK's web site also doesn't describe the MOD-41 that I received.

I have a multi-mode TV (PAL and NTSC) that has only a coaxial RF input. I bought the MOD-41 to allow me to play both American (NTSC) and European (PAL) videos using a multi-mode VHS VCR, to play DVDs using a new DVD player, and to watch satellite TV that is fed through a RF coaxial cable. This box handles all that perfectly. I connected my cable feed to the antenna/cable input on the back of the MOD-41, and the composite outputs (one video, 2 sound, RCA plugs) from my DVD player and VCR to two of the three sets of composite jacks on the back of the MOD-41. The fourth set of input jacks is on the front of the MOD-41.

I can select either the VCR or the DVD feed using the buttons on the front of the unit. If I select the DVD [or VCR] and it is turned off, the MOD-41 automatically recognizes that there is no signal on the composite inputs and feed the satellite signal directly to the TV. If I turn on the DVD player [or VCR], the MOD-41 automatically switches to the composite signal. (I have not tried the S-video inputs.)

Note that the MOD-41 only outputs to the TV; it has no provision to feed to a VCR unless you place the VCR between the MOD-41 and the TV. Therefore with my setup if I want to use my VCR to record from the satellite signal, I need to split the coaxial cable so that it supplies signal to the VCR as well as to the MOD-41.

Summary: Does as advertised
Review: I read the existing review on this product and I have found this product to be exactly as advertised. I did not buy it from Amazon.com but it does have S-Video, Composite Video and RF inputs. Well it only has a single RF input but four of each S Video and Composite

Summary: incorrectly advertised
Review: This probably isn't a bad product. However, it is incorrectly advertised on here. Contrary to what the information indicates, there are no S-video inputs of any kind on this device. The picture shown is not correct as it also shows S-video connections. I sent mine back recently after receiving it. I see that even though I informed Amazon of this discrepancy they still have not fixed the picture or the description. What's the deal???
