Review: This software program is wonderful for the serious genealogy reasearcher. The data entry is a breeze. The reports are very useful. The best part of the program is the family finder index & the other cd's. The best cd is the Social Security Death Index. You would not be able to research all 50 states for data without this. Years before you would have to write or vist all these vital statistics offices for much of the data and much of it would not be available except to the immediate family. The sources Family Tree Maker has on the Internet are very useful. I had done extensive reasearch before purchasing the program. With that information I was able to contact others who where also doing research. I do have to say for the first time genealogy this program would be a disappointment. You must heave done research before hand. You will not find much data on the cd's unless you know something about researching. You would miss many possible leads for the first time user. This program is for the serious genealogist.
