Summary: It's about time...
Review: (...) I can say that AOE 2 is my second favorite game of all time, it is so well done... You get to control civilizations from the Britons to the Turks to the Byzantines, and build swordsmen, archers, knights, and castles; what could be more fun? Unfortunately, it took 2 years from the time it was released on the PC to get it over to the Mac. It's here now, though, so we can finally play it.

It's not be the best port in the world, but at least it's there, and it hardly if ever crashes after you update CarbonLib. Besides, you can just save your game when important things happen in it... Aside from getting a PC, there's no other way to play it, and I definitely recommend this as a must-have for anyone who plays games on a Mac.

One last thing: For some reason, the hotkey for gate and archery range are both 'A', so you have to change it under options to '/', which is what it's supposed to be...

Summary: One of the best games ever ... but ...
Review: Age of Empires (1, 2 and the Star Wars versions) are prehaps one of the best strategy games available for any platform. You will find yourself spending countless hours playing this game.

The only problem with this series of games is ... that you will find yourself spending countless hours playing this game. This is how one forgets to sleep.

Summary: AOE2 Gold is awesome!
Review: Age of Empires 2 Gold is one of the best games I have ever played! With the 5 new civilizations to control, new campaigns, new game types, real world maps, and many new changes to The Age of Kings, the Conquerors expansion pack adds 10 times more excitement to the already thrilling game. For anyone who doesn't mind a little blood, this is a stupendous game that every gamer must have!

Summary: Greatest Game of All time
Review: Age OF Empires 2 is a true to History epic thrill. Improving on the first one drastically, their are campigns for 5 different civs. Such as the Mongols and the William Wallace Campaign. It's easy to learn to play with easy campaigns. Their are many different types of game formats, the multiplayer is excellent where you can play as the same civ with a friend, and the graphics kick. Buy age of Empires II I know you wont be dissapointed.

Review: Age of Empires II gold pack is the best game I have ever played. It combines strategy and skill to run your civilization succesfully. Having the option of being more than one civilization gives you the chance to explore different civilizations units and archetecture, as well as to govern it to victory. Overall, this is the best game I have ever played and I won't play anything else. It is also educational. Even though I am nearing fifty and have studied ancient civilizations for half my life, it still teaches me new things.

Summary: Great Game, But Gets Old Like Most
Review: Age of Empires II is a great game. There is no doubt it will keep you entertained for many, many hours but eventually it does get old. I play it and The Sims and between the two totally different games I stay entertained all the time. If I'm not in the mood for one, the other suffices. This game has old graphics, but they work. I wish you could rotate or zoom out a lot of the time. I thouroghly enjoy this game, but make sure you have some others for when you get sick of it!

Summary: Best Strategy Game Ever!
Review: Age of Empires II is really fun. I've played a lot of strategy games, and this one is the best. WarCraftII, StarCraft, Majesty, WarCraft, Civilization, Centauri. But none of them were this good. The Graphics are really nice, and the gameplay is fun. It's really easy to use too. The Campaigns span over many civilizations and different time periods. It's a lot more fun with the expansion though, so I recommend that you buy the Gold Edition. There are many many civilizations to play around with, so gameplay has no end. The option to make your own maps and Campaigns is a blast. You can also choose different paths to take your civilizations along. You could make a huge trading community with large farmland. Or you could take control of the world with huge armies. Although when you first start out, you don't make that many units,

but when you become more familiar with the game you will want to create larger armies, but the most units you can make is 200.
Good things:
-Nice Graphics

-Good Music Track
-Easy To Learn
-Difficulty Levels
Bad things:
-Cannot Create Recources In Map Editor
-Strict amount of units you can create. (Only 200)
Over all Age of Empires II is a great game. It is definitely worth the money. I recommend it to all ages.

Summary: Fun game but buggy multiplayer
Review: At home, we have several Mac computers hooked up to a simple Ethernet LAN. My computer has an old 604e mac upgraded with a G3 processor and the other computers are: a G3 and G4 Imac, a g3 and G4 tower. I have tried changing many settings, but 90% of all multiplayer games between any 2-3 of those computers have failed to stay connected. Otherwise a fun game, but this is frustrating!
