Summary: FANTASTIC GAME--waiting for others to catch up.
Review: 7th Guest confused me a little. 11-Hour offers hints or even solves if you get stuck on a puzzle along the way. Why some folks are having trouble with configurations, I don't know. Perhaps after you have played a few Sierra games, I should considered myself an advanced programmer? *L*

THE GAME: You are a celibrity pit against a demonic toymaker named Stauf to save your producer-boss. When you enter his realm, the house, Stauf starts feeding you clues. But clues never come free. You have to earn them. In most cases, Stauf will be laughing at you--even stabbing with cute sarcastic statements.

If you are looking for a puzzle game, this one's for you. 11hour is filled with puzzles. In fact, when you eventually finish the Strategy game, you can go back and play the other puzzles that you enjoyed. Finishing 11-Hour will take some time. There are three endings to this game. Be sure to save under multiple names along the way.

If you are looking for 3-D shoot em up, this is not for you.

I hope they create a sequel or at least a similar quality product. So many out there are high-tech but no dazzle.

Summary: Oh Please
Review: Definitely this game had possibilities: decent story line, fair acting, but I was totally frustrated with the puzzles. Get on with the story already. If you're a Mensa genius buy it.

Summary: Much Better Then 7th Guest
Review: I have to honestly say that this is one of my all-time favorites to date. If you like creepy, haunting, puzzle-adventure games, you'd probably find this enjoyable. Sequel to the 7th Guest, you are searching Stauf's house of horrors once again, working your way into more and more rooms and areas through puzzles and riddles, with a lot of cool clips and (rather cheesy) live acting footage. What makes this better then the 7th Guest, which I also enjoyed, is you get more hints with the incredibly hard puzzles and you can focus more on the general game, if you so choose. There's multiple endings, a lot of space to cover and little odd and ends to discover along the way. The only problem I had was with the sound, which came out a little choppy. Overall, I highly recommend it if you like ghostly adventure games

Summary: Pass it by - even at this price
Review: I liked the first game (7th Guest) a bit, mainly because the puzzles were so strong that it was fun. The acting was atrocious. The sequel is a bit like most movie sequels...not quite as interesting as the previous. The acting is still bad, the puzzles to some degree are almost identical in nature, and the storyline goes exactly nowhere. If you haven't played the 7th Guest, then maybe you'll like it, but I think I liked the music more on 7th Guest, so get that if you can.

Summary: Be Careful if you buy this!
Review: I loved the 7th Guest so I bought this game. At Amazon it says that the 11th Hour is for Windows 95 and 98, however, when I got the game the box said that it was for Windows 95 or Dos 5.0 or greater. I could not get the game to work on my computer because I have 98.

If you like puzzle games, the 11th Hour will probably be fun. Just make sure you know what system the game is for before you buy it. If you can't play the 11th Hour I would suggest getting the 7th guest because they made an updated version for windows.

I gave this game 3 stars because it looks like I would enjoy it, but haven't actually been able to play it yet. When I do play it I'll write a better review. Sorry if this isn't helpful.

Summary: I agree with nothing but problems
Review: I played 7th Guest and thought that 11th Hour would be a good sequel but I could never get it to run. I could not get ANY help from the makers after several phone calls and e-mails and downloading help files from the internet. I even bought two games because I was told my first was probably had damaged installing files. So unless you are a computer genious on rearranging your whole system to fit this game I WOULD NOT recommend it to anyone. And I only gave it 1 star because I wanted to put 0 but I had to enter at least 1 in order to post this.

Summary: Nothing but problems!
Review: I was very disappointed in the technical aspects of this game. I really enjoyed "The 7th Guest", and I thought that I would enjoy this one as well. Unfortunately, getting the disk to run was a MAJOR nightmare! After spending an hour and a half trying to get the game to start (the game required me to change and configure audio drivers, without giving any help doing it!), I was finally able to get it to go, but even then the sound was pretty much shot. Other problems I had with it: 1) it wouldn't remember the sound settings that took forever to change. When I would try to play the next time, I would have to "uninstall" the game and reinstall - losing any saved games! 2) The puzzles, when I could access them, were INSANELY hard! Without the help of a good cheat guide, forget it!

All in all, it looked like it had potential but I would NOT recommend this to ANYONE! What were the designers thinking? Give me a game that I can just stick in and play!

Summary: Improves on the 7th Guest style
Review: If you loved the 7th Guest, this sequel will not disappoint, aslong as you can get it to run. I managed to, despite 'incompatibleVESA graphics driver' errors on multiple platforms, by downloading afew patches... and invoking it from a DOS window. Compared to 7thGuest, there's much more in terms of movie sequences, and the puzzlesare a bit harder, more of them where you play against the computer. Iespecially liked roaming through the same house as 7th Guest, it nowbeing in ruins, although you will find the door to the left when youwalk in the kitchen still doesn't open.
