Summary: Nicely Done
Review: I experienced no install problems whatsoever, and found it easier than falling off a log to load and run. Game play is a little slow, with many film clips, but the story makes sense and is pleasurable. Graphics are very nice and the puzzles are, like all Atlantis games, playful and enjoyable. I am not finished yet, but it is already much more fun than Schizm ever hoped to be. The Skull puzzle is truly original! I enjoyed the subtle references to past Atlantis games (dolphin, flyers, etc.) but you can play this without knowing about them with out any interruption to game play or plot. The main character is charmingly drawn and her movements are very realistic. DreamCatcher has come a long way in their animations. A pleasent game.

Summary: Fun Game but too SHORT!
Review: I really liked this game- great graphics and storyline- sort of ties in with Beyond Atlantis 1. But the game is short- Beyond Atlantis 1 took MUCH longer, and I loved that about it. This game is great, but I couldn't believe it ended so fast. Needed to be longer- definitely.

Summary: XP Issues
Review: I thought this game very enjoyable with fun puzzles and good graphics. the heroine makes the game much more interesting as well, because of her casual yet cocky attitude. but i must agree with previous reviewers that although it says XP compatible on the box, there were a number of glitches i had to deal with, such as slow scene play, and difficulty with the charators speech. i'm not sure why this happens, but it seems only with XP computers, it is deffinatly something to watch out for, even if your computer is new and up-to-date. other than those problems, this games could be very enjoyable.

Summary: Good, but short
Review: I was torn between giving _Beyond Atlantis 2_ four and five stars. I finally settled on five because, though short, it is the best and most cohesive game I've played in a very long time.

(...) I had no problem at all with installation or running the game. In fact, it ran remarkably smoothly, with clicks and pans that actually functioned (...). The interface will be familiar to those who have played _Beyond Atlantis_, with different cursor symbols for dialog, interaction, and acquiring inventory, and easy right-click inventory access. I find this interface so practical that I'm always amazed when developers think up ones that are more complex. Also like _Beyond Atlantis_, all dialog can be replayed.

The animations are abolutely stunning. Character and object movement was immensely detailed and realistic, particularly in some of the third person cut scenes. The vocal acting was also above average. At times the main character's French accent was a bit hard to understand, but I was so tickled that she didn't sound generic that I didn't care.

The plot involves solving puzzles in four main areas. Each area was well-developed and individual as far as design and story. The puzzles, however, were a bit samey -- mostly the apply inventory variety, although there were a few minor logic puzzles and skill puzzles. Math based and sound based puzzles were conspicuously absent. Overall, I felt the puzzles were too few and too easy. With one or two exceptions, you just had to look at them to solve them.

The end game was anticlimactic and getting to it involved a device or two that seemed a bit contrived. But it did give a solid ending to the story and manage to tie in with both the previous Atlantis games.

Overall, I really liked _Beyond Atlantis 2_. I just wish it had been longer. Experienced gamers can probably expect to complete the game in 10 hours or less. Still, as short games go, this one is worth playing.

Summary: Great game
Review: I will write a few lines:
-Dont worry about crashes, because my system is a W2K, medium hardware and it is working OK. Only take care if you have a XP system.
-The story is a mix between adventure and mythologhy.
-The game is excelent if you dont love blood and violence, and prefering to use your brain and resolving puzzles.
-I am a RTS gamer, but this is the best adventure game for me, specially it has beatiful graphics and landscapes.
-The game has secuence if you can see the main line story about reborn and finding ancient power.
-I recommend you search the internet for the key "Atlantis 3" and you will find reviews and walktroughs.
Buy it now is a excellent game (and cheap).

Summary: Enjoyable Game from a 40 yr old
Review: I'll admit to using walkthroughs right off because more often than not I either get lost, or the puzzles frustrate the heck out of me and I'm short-tempered. Even with a walk-through this was fun for me. My reason for buying a game like this is because of the landscapes and the animated sequences. In this game, they are beautiful! As an artist, though, my one complaint extends to the heroine herself - her hands/wrists/arms never quite moved naturally. It was kind of creepy.

I've read several reviews where folks didn't much care for the heroine's "deadpan" and "monotone" voice. Honestly, I don't think it was her problem. The dialogue she had to work with didn't really give her much of a chance to emote.

Either way, for me those negatives did not deter from enjoying the game. If you want a game where you can just relax and get lost for awhile, I believe this is a good one.

Summary: I've played better
Review: I'm not a hard core gamer, but even I realized that this game is just above average. It was far too short, the main character's voice acting was horrible, and the story had no depth. I found myself wondering what the big deal with the skull was, and it ended right where it should have begun. The graphics were wonderful and the puzzles were fun, but it only kept me occupied for 2 days. If you want a true gaming experience, go for the "Myst" series; those games are a true treat.

Summary: Are you a genius ?
Review: I'm not. I'm just an average guy and I can't play this game without often consulting a walkthrough. The game mainly exist of very hard puzzles. If you don't have an I.Q. of at least 145 don't buy the game or find a walktrough somewhere on the Internet like I did.
On the other hand, the game has a good story, mysterious and... puzzling. So I give it three stars.

Summary: Don't Buy if you have XP
Review: Okay I bought this game and I have some pros and a really big con. The pros are that the graphics are very good. The 360 degree pan feature is awesome and the puzzles and music are great. Now for the really big con. It will absolutely not work with Windows XP. I cannot get past the sarcophagus scene in the beginning. I have tried everything. Cleaning my registry, reinstalling, uninstalling, not installing direct X, using a saved game, lowering the acceleration rate of my sound and graphics, nothing works. It is a shame too because the graphics are really good.

Summary: Impossible to Install
Review: Received game yesterday. Went into loop when disc 1 inserted.
Could only stop by powering down. Tried disabling auto
insertion notification on CD drive and running setup.exe.
System (Win98SE) said "setup.exe not a valid win32 app."
Tried naked boot of win98 (run msconfig and eliminate running
autoexec.bat, config.sys and all the startup group items).
Still says "setup.exe not a valid win32 app."
Noted that the date on this setup.exe is 10/2/98 while the
date on the earlier Beyond Atlantis is 1/13/99. Why use an
older setup.exe? Dreamcatcher customer service no help
and no call back.
