Summary: NOT an adventure game!
Review: ADVENTURE gamers: do NOT buy this game! 1) It is a series of mazes; 2) 90% of the time you are either killing dead people or the living, and then rekilling them after they are dead; 3) in order to save at any point in the game, you must look around for a character (who moves around in the game), as there is no other way to save; 4) there are some inventory items; 5) it is a keyboard game (i.e., you have to use both hands to maneuver in the game; and, 6) if you insist upon getting this game, make sure you back off every time you kill somebody or you will end up not finishing the game! This game was a waste of my money.

Summary: So far, I'm NOT happy with this game at all...
Review: Hi fellow gamers. Well, I thought this might be an interesting game, so I bought it. I love horror stuff and keep hoping somebody will make a truly scary game. But, right off the bat, I discovered this is one of those games like Riddle of the Sphinx, or Mummy's Tomb, Shivers I and II, and so on. That's ok, if you like games with limited interaction with the character. But, I like action and the controls in this game are absolutely terrible! Using a keyboard on PC, you have to use the up and down and left and right arrow buttons to control movement. NO, you CAN'T change it to the W, S, A and D buttons! You control turning by using the mouse. So, you have to push your keyboard all the way to the left on your desk and try moving the character like that. For your other controls, you have to use the F-buttons to attack or do something, which means, if you're under attack, you have to stop and look down at the keyboard to find the right button! That's really poor control and ridiculous, especially in this day and age of technological gaming! It wouldn't be so bad if you could CHANGE the default controls, but they only let you change limited controls and you cannot change the movement buttons! Who in their right mind is going to use F keys for controls?! That's absurd! On the positive side, the graphics are interesting and the setting is eerie and gloomy, and the soundtrack adds to the eerie feeling. But the character is stiff and moves slowly. And, once you start, you're on your own. No hints or tips on what you should do next. Maybe that's ok for you. IF you LIKED Riddle of the Sphinx, you'll probably like this game. To me it's just too damned slow and the controls are much too cumbersome and tedious. I'll keep on trying to figure out what's going on and evaluate it further later. For now, it's another really disappointing game. I sure wish somebody could make a scary game that really WAS decent, maybe even scary! One with easy controls, or at least, adjustable controls. As far as value, I'd have to say that this game isn't worth the retail price. For you folks who like these kind of games, I'd still recommend waiting for a used game; one that's cheaper than the retail listing. If you're like me and you're looking for action, this definitely ISN'T it...
