Summary: I ain't got time to bleed!
Review: Alien vs Predator is one of the scariest games I ever played. The game gots great graphics and and awsome sound effects. You can hear your Marines scream with fear when you play as the Predator and snipping with the Predator is fun. With the Alien you can cut Marines into up to 5parts and chop heads off. The Marine is awsome to! You can use Smartguns and Pulse Rifles. Overall the game is fun and scary. The downside is the game is way to short, but for $20 at Amazon what else more do you want. I really recommend this game to anyone who likes first person shotter.

Summary: Scary, difficult and loads of fun!
Review: Alien VS Predator is the best "Alien" game released to date (I was actually fond of Alien Trilogy) and has a lot going for it. You can play as a marine, alien or predator. Playing as the Alien is the easiest and is pretty difficult to master as first. You will need to climb on walls, learn to pounce, and sneak up on your targets. As the Predator, you will need to use your fast arsenal of weapons, visions and invisibility features to win. The scariest and most fun character is the marine. You will need to collect weapons, health and watch your back at all times. You never know when an Alien is around the corner. And if you see or hear a face hugger, you better start shooting or run for your life. If one gets you, you WILL jump from your seat! The only drawbacks is that the save game feature is lame (if you download the patch, otherwise, there isn't a save game feature,) and the game will give you extra levels at the end, ONLY if you beat the game at a higher difficulty. Other than that, if you like the Alien movies, get this! I give this title a B+.

Summary: "I love it!"
Review: Aliens vs. Predator is the 2nd coolest game I have ever played! It's graphics are very good, it does not stall like some games, and the sounds are so realistic!

Alien (4/5 stars) As an alien, you have no weapons expcept your claws, tail, and headbiting jaw inside your mouth. The alien is extremely vulnerable, but is faster than the human or Predator. The alien is the second most fun character out of the three to portray.

Marine (2/5 stars) As a Marine/soldier, you are the most vulnerable of the species, and you get a Pulse Rifle but hardly any ammo. And when you use up your rifle you have a combat knife! How the hell is someone supposed to take out a bunch of swarming aliens with a tiny little survival knife?!

Predator (5/5 stars) The Predator is the coolest one to be! You get a lot of great weapons, such as the Plasma Caster, Wristblades, Speargun, etc. You can take trophies (like in the movie) and you get assorted vision modes, Thermal, Infra-Red, Neg. Art, and normal. The Predator is really cool and this is the one you should try first!

Multi-Player (5/5 stars) Though everybody is playing Multi-Player with AvP2 now, it is still really cool on AvP1, and it is the only time I really even think about chosing to be a Colonial Marine. I always choose the Mini-Gun if I am a Marine. CO-OP is really hard, you make one step and hords of aliens come swarming at you (Mini-Gun gets the job done, though).

Overall (5/5 stars) This is a great game and I recommend to any Alien and Predator fan. But, I would recommend AvP2 a bit more than I would this one.

Summary: Really good game
Review: Anyone who likes video games and has seen the movies would really like this game, even if you haven't seen the movies, you'ed still like the fluid graphics and great detail. One of the best aspects of this game is the sound! Everything from the motion detecter to the alien's sounds to the predator's clicking type sound is EXACTLY like in the movies, I really appriciate this as it adds to the overall experience. The graphics are smooth and good looking. the Predators look a lot like in the movies and the Aliens are so well done I had to pause the game and marvel at the detail. When you first get this game do the marine mission if you are looking to be scared out of your wits. In the game you can play as all three different races(Predator,Alien,Colonel Marine)all with their own missions plus bonus missions. The Alien Ai(artifical intelegence) is really really good. You can be standing there minding your own business and then an alien will drop down from the ceiling when you didn't even know it was sneaking up on you. The only notable complaint is that the predators cloak only actually keeps you unseen for about 7 seconds(it doesn't go off or anything its just all of a sudden they can see you even if its up) Which of course lead my theory that you should kill them in 7 seconds or less(with your cloak up) if you wanna go undetected. Also staying true to the movies the Predator is extreamly hard to kill, whether you are playing as him or fighting him. And the aliens are brittle but really really really fast, and yes you can climb all over the walls at top speed when you play the alien:) The colonel marines are both brittle and slow, but they have BIG weaponry(chain gun with 800 rounds anyone? Also the chain gun's sound is really good and pumps the rounds out really fast. They also have a lot of other weaponry). All in all this is the best FPS(first person shooter) to date, especially if you are an Alien/Predator fan.

Summary: AvP Rules!

Summary: The best 3D, first person shooter ever
Review: Combining atmosphere and a realistic feel with hard hitting action is exactly what the films (especially Aliens) associated with this game do so much to their credit. Aliens Vs. Predator is a game which perfectly reflects this. It is like playing a film, but being in it, experiencing it, living it. Nothing on the worldwide computer games market even comes close to challenging this game's atmosphere. The deathmatch play is also superb because each creature has different strengths and weaknesses and these make battles, especially with 3 or more players using the 8-player-capable system, intensely tactical, interesting, exciting and often frightening. Aliens Vs. Predator is a masterwork of computer gaming

Summary: ok, but not long enough
Review: i am an avid gamer, and am very fond of the aliens series, so i thought that this game would be a dream come true. infortunately, it wasn't. first of all, there are only 15 different maps. the maps get reused so frequently, it gets boring after a while. the learning curve is vewry basic, despite what the box says, and the alien is by far the easyest (sp?) to use. the marine is at an unfair disadvantage, as he only has a limite4d number of weapons, and they get taken away after every level. instead of a campain, the game has a mission sstem, like a video game. on top of that, you have to beat on the most difficult setting to play all of the "unique" levels. this is IMPOSIBLE to do with the marine. what this game needs is a really good add on, to save it from the pits of video game hell. if you want a good shooter, for the same price, buy half-life, game of the year edition; it comes with a free copy of team fortress, a game that alone blows avp out of the water.

Summary: Lacks a story But fun Fps
Review: I Bought this game long time ago back then it was pretty cool but the game has no story to it plus your only supposed to run from point A to B shooting any moving object you go by (except for the Alien he cuts his way through) that's the whole story.

But the plus side of the game i that you can play three differnt charectors each with there own special abilities. Plus look out for the place called Fury 161 that's where the story of Alien 3 takes place.

Overall a very good game but get Alien versus Predator 2. It's WAY better.

Summary: Incredible and addictive
Review: I have had this game for ages and it took me ages to get used to it. I started first with the alien which moves faster than anything I have seen in a game and can crawl up walls, hang from the ceiling and makes a nice crunching sound when you bite into your enemies heads.

The predator levels are easiest and if you are familiar with the movies you will know why. Amazing fire power and tools (just check out the disc and the grappling hooks)not to mention invisibility, zoom and four different vision modes. I would suggest that you start with this baby because the predator is one mean and resilient character.

The marines are helped by their motion trackers (so you can see where your enemies might be) and a startling array of weapons: pulse rifle, smart gun (which tracks your enemies), flame thrower, mini-gun (the jungle flattening one used in the Predator movie) and the awesome SARDAR rocket launcher. Great but you have to find them along with body armour and medikits. Beleive me you will need them.

There are loads of levels and the opportunity for bonuses. The strategies needed by each character are different and this leads to some great game playing oportunities.

There are also multiplayer and skirmish options. Multiplayer means you can play across a LAN or the net. A great chance to wup your mates. Skirmish mode provides you with little vignettes -opportunities to massacre or be massacred.

This is not a game for the faint-hearted. Eerie sound effects and gory deaths are everywhere (you are even encouraged to do head bites when an alien - for extra health).

I do not claim to be a games wizard and it has taken me a long time to go through the games (at training level - I still have to do it at realistic and Director's cut levels)!

Two tips: buy the guide - you will need it and download the patch so you can save games.
