Summary: The Best Game Franchise Created
Review: For many months, I passed The Sims by in stores, dismissing it as an architectural game with tons of designing, such as SimCity. I was wrong! This is the most open-ended game ever created, and lots of fun to play! Simply, this game is god of the PC. This pack is great, especially if you don't already have the original. Even if you do, like I did, this game comes with both packs put together, new objects, and a slew of new skins, walls, and floors. It also features new architectural designs as well. The program that allows you to import faces and such, in my opinion, is hard to adapt to and is a waste of time. Still, that doesn't really matter. In the sims, the objects and other items are really too real. They are normal lamps, and chairs, and walls, and just about everything else is too normal and everyday. Although Livin' large is my least favorite expansion, and that's not saying much, it adds new designs such as the abilities to create a castle, love shack, my favorite, a groovy bachelor pad, a futuristic, robot-run home, and about anything else you can think of! The new skins and objects exclusive to Deluxe Edition are Roman styles and very futuristic styles, with stuff from like, the year 3000. That also includes build mode as well as objects and skins. this really adds color and variety to the original, as well as making it much more fun to play! Altogether, the Sims Deluxe is worth your money if you love The Sims!

Summary: This combo pack is an Excellent buy!
Review: This is the awesome combination of "The Sims" (The top pc game of all time)and it's very first (and best) expansion pack, "Living Large"!! A MUST HAVE. If you are thinking of buying The Sims alone, forget it and get this one!!! You would end up buying the "Living Large" anyway,(trust me, you would HAVE to have more!!) so save your money and buy this combo. You will be soooo glad you did.
But that's not all...Maxis has included a terrific program for very easily creating your own sim faces and clothes(skins). This program is SO EASY to use, and when you are finished, the new creation is instantly loaded into your game!
I think that the best 'fringe' benefit of all is that no matter which expansion packs you have (except for the newest, 'Unleashed'), you continue using the Sim Deluxe CD to play, which is helpful in my house because The Sims is used on more than one computer, so the other computer can play with the expansion CD.
It runs so much better with my Windows XP than did the original versions; and is running just fine with Windows NT also. Happy Simming!!

Summary: Super Fun Fun Fun!!
Review: I absolutely love the Sims. It might possibly be one of the best games of all time. (In my opinion anyway) I love being able to control people's lives and create anything from a humble, little cottage, to a spralling, forest estate. What makes the game even better is, that you can download more skins, objects, and homes off the internet. I wasn't pleased with the small selection of furniture so I went online and found tons to download for free. This game is very addictive and you'll most likely go through spells where all you will want to do is play The Sims. I can almost guarantee that you'll tire of it after a while, but don't worry, you'll get addicted again. ;)

Summary: HUGE fan of The Sims
Review: If you are considering purchasing this game, well you are on the right track! The Sims and all of its expansion packs are amazing. I guess it does depend on the type of person you are, a handful of people find The Sims boring. But the Deluxe Edition is double the package than the original, and that is why the price is a bit higher than everything else. (Well it's different now, with Double Deluxe out the regular deluxe edition is WELL worth the price!!)

So what do you do when playing the sims? Basically you control the lives of these little 3D people (either adult or children). You get to dress them up, find a job, make friends to satisfy the social motive and get promotions with certain skills. You can burn, drown, or starve them (as torturous as this might sound, its actually kind of fun...). Also with the Deluxe Edition comes a bunch of new goodies that weren't in the original like Servo, the nifty $15,000 robot who serves your every need. He'll cook and clean while you make your sims couch potatoes. One thing I love is the Gnome maker. Your sims work on their mechanical skills while making these little gnomes (that can help you out with all of your gardening needs in Makin` Magic). There's also tons of different career tracks. You can be a chef or a musician or tons of other things, although you as the player do not get to follow the Sims to work, its still interesting to see.

The Sims, as other people say can get boring once in awhile, but thats why there are so many expansion packs, allowing one to visit other areas of the game. (Hot Date allows your Sim to go on dates, House Party lets you throw parties... and so on)You can now decorate with a lot more (i.e. rugs) and you get tons of new building tools (windows, doors, wallpaper, and floors). It's a lot more interesting with the other expansion packs, so if you purchase this one and get bored, buy some of the other ones. Unleashed is my favorite. It's fun to start off small, with the small, uncomfortable couches, loveseats, dining chairs/tables, beds, ... basically the cheapest of everything. And as your Sims rise to the top of their careers, so does your bank account, and voila! You have the big screen TV, giant windows, expensive flooring and etc.

Sometimes the Sims will irritate you because they're kinda dumb and get stuck sometimes. And of course once in awhile they'll just shrug their shoulders and forget everything you've qued up for them.

I give this game 5 stars because it runs smoothly on my system, and the installation time isn't all that bad, I can wait for the loading screen, and the game is just really entertaining and not to mention addicting. I adore all the little interactions and things to do with this game, and its pratically all I talk about =p

Summary: Terrific for starters!
Review: I know, I know, I don't have the Sims Double Deluxe. Guess I bought this one too early! But if you don't wanna spend a lot of money, maybe you should get this and House Party separately.

I like this game a lot. I like how the grim reaper comes in when your sim's about to die. Once a burglar came into my house and stole my microwave! You will be remembering a lot of great times after you play this.

I say this game is great, I'm aiming for House Party now. But, if you wanna get them both together, get Double Deluxe. But this is a GGRREEAATT game and you're missing out on a lot if you don't buy any sims games.

Summary: Excellent Gaming!
Review: I am so glad I decided to see what the fuss was all about. I went out and bought The Sims Deluxe Edition, and then House Party, Hot Date, Vacation, and Unleashed Expansion Packs. They were all definately worth the money. Some advice though: INSTALL THE GAMES IN THE ORDER THAT IT TELLS YOU TO IN THE MANUALS! Otherwise you will have problems. I have a 1.5 gig, 256 Ram, Pentium 4 and this game runs smoothly for me. Not to mention how much fun it is to go online to the Sims website and download families, houses, and other things that other players have created (registered Sims users get their own Sim web page to post the families they have created, and malls and hotels, vacation spots, etc.). I'm really enjoying myself with the Sims. Trust me, you will too. I never played any games on the computer before I started playing the Sims. But now all I find myself doing is playing late into the night, and I love it. Give it a try!! I can't wait until the next Expansion Pack comes out, I wonder what they will think of next for our Sims?

Summary: Totally Addictive
Review: I avoided buying this game for a while figuring it might suck me in... I was right. My first recommendation, especially if you have not played the Sim's before is to actually read the manual. Before I knew what I was doing I was playing the families that were already set up and one couple wouldn't sleep together and one was so depressed I couldn't get him to look for a job. Then in the other house one got burnt up in a stove fire and the child got sent off to military school. After reading the manual I realized that you can buy fire alarms which automatically call the fire man, Burglar alarms that call the police, and that your Sim's can take a day off (but not two in a row). If they aren't having enough fun you give them a day off. If they have a baby you have them take turns staying home with the baby. Even so, make sure they are in real good moods before having the baby because it's definitely hard on them. All in all I am really enjoying the game. It is fun choosing carrier tracks and trying to make them succeed. They do not always do what you want them to. I've been trying to get one of the Sim's I created to marry my poor widow but every time she proposes he has some lame excuse why not. Well that's part of the fun... They have free will.

Review: Picked up Sims Deluxe Edition about a month ago since it came with a $20 gift card and was practically free. I had my doubts about how much fun it would be to play house on the computer, but now even my wife (who is not much into games) is addicted. We're playing on a P4-2.4Ghz Dell with 640Mb of RAM, and the load time is still substantial. Definitely download the patch from the EA web site as it speeds this up quite a bit. Incidentally, the game disc is required to play, and it is copy-protected with SafeDisc.

Summary: Time to build!
Review: First off, I got this game on Christmas 2002 and I played it then till now! I love this game! On the PS2, its hard to control, and when my brother has to get on all the time, I cant use it. So I got this game and now I started to build houses and people one by one and went up to 14 houses already. Even though you cant go to town or anything, its still fun.

You start out with installing the game and everything like that. Once it starts, you can delete the houses already maded or leave them. So many neighborhoods to build houses with a pretty big size of landscape. You make your own family, give them a last name and first, create your own people, then your off to build or buy. There are furniture, electronics, etc. Once you do all of that, your ready to have fun! Like a ordinary life. Sims get to eat, sleep, talk, go to school, swim, etc! Make your two Sims in love and have a baby. OK now can spoil all the fun now.

This works on windows 95, 98, and windows xp. Check out the Sims site too! See ya!
