Summary: I'm glad I didn't pay too much for this...
Review: ....

The first (and biggest) disappointment is that you have to play a guy named Craig Willmore. I was hoping to play Scully or Mulder. But the video shots of them were very nice indeed, though you have to wait until the end to see them.

Then, I think it is actually very weird to play at some points, because sometimes POV ends up in awkward angles. I can't explain it very well, but sometimes you are not behind your character. It seems as if the POV changes at some points. I didn't like that either.

Even after that, It was too easy. I beat the entire game in one weekend. ...

I recommend it ONLY for rabid X-Files fans. All other people will probably not be impressed.

Summary: A game that every X-Philo must have...
Review: After a few seasons and a movie, Fox and 1013 Productions have decided to create a game, which keep everyone who played it, inside the paranormal-freaky-and-lovable trama of The X-Files. Filled with high-one-of-a-kind FMV, oustanding soundtrack and a more than credible history, the search for the truth wasent so fun until now.

Summary: X-Files The game
Review: Although many people have downgraded this game; I did find it both intriguing and even heart pounding with the scenes and investigations. If you are a fan of the X-Files television show-then this would be a must for your collection! Although most games do fall short in some areas and are not perfect, this one is worth getting-and solving a couple of different times...

Summary: Great game, when is the next one
Review: As a fan of Myst and Riven, I would not put this game in the same category. However, it does equally well for it's type. Myst and Riven don't have a main character that you are per se, whereas in this game, you have a name and a face.

The game puts you in the shoes of one agent Craig Wilmore. He is put on a case to find the missing X-files staff: Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. As an X-files fan, I found this game very entertaining. As a gamer it was well within the genre of adventure games. There were hints, stuff to pick up, things to do etc. This was well within the capabilities of non-X filers and should be equally entertaining.

I likened this game to the Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast within and Phantasmagoria. Unlike Phantasmagoria, there were no gory scenes (of which I was thankful). The people were movies of real people and not cartoons. The dialgue though limited offered enough variability. One important point would be to save often. I got killed alot.

The game had enough of a plot you could figure out what to do next. That is essential rather than blindly clicking on everything you could pick up.

All in all a good buy. When's the next one?

Summary: A great mystery game!
Review: First of all, I'd like to say that if you don't like mystery games you shouldn't even attempt to buy this game. However, if your a big X-files fan you might like this. In this game, you play FBI agent Craig Willmore. You get this assignment from your boss saying that two FBI agents are missing. Your mission is to find them. I know the word "FBI" might remind some people of shooting and killing, that's not the case. If your expecting this to be an action game, your wrong. The game is to gather evidence that will lead you to finding your agents. So if you're looking for an action game, buy a game like Quake. I'm not saying this game doesn't have action, but it doesn't have as much as you'd probably think. I'll say that this game runs very well and the acting is great. You feel just like your an FBI agent when your playing it due to all the supplies you have. For example, you have a badge, cell phone, evidence kit, gun, handcuffs, ect. A negative thing I have to say about this game is that at some points in the game it just turns out to be a scavenger hunt for eviedence. Overall this game is very good. It's very realistic and is very replayable. If you want a mystery, or want to feel what it's like being an FBI agent, this is the game for you.

Summary: Excellent !
Review: From Start to end I couldn't stop playing this game untill I was finished. The atmosphere that the game sets makes you feel like your in the game. It's an excellent game to play in the dark. I would suggest this game to those who like and dislike X-Files. I haven't been able to find a game quite like this...

Review: Good idea but it took too long for the game to read from the CD and so action sequences were painful.

Summary: The best game i've played in 5 yrs
Review: Hey man, i've played a lot of strategy-games such as Full Throttle, Sherlock Holmes and stuff like that but XFiles, this game scares you, it's more thrilling. You need to make the right decision at the right time. You have only a few dialogues, but event that, you have make the right choice. For Example, you could say a dialogue that could Upset Astadourian or comfort her. You could show ur anger on Cook or make peace with him. And in the last part, you have to make a right choice when cook confronts you, you have to walk the place carefully, if you get into a room you shouldn't have, that's it, you're history. The NSA Agents, when they confront you, it will be tough for you to decide what you're gonna do if you play the game for the first time. This game, you need to use your brains to play this game man. It's not as easy as you Indiana Jones or anything. This game is hard to play, spooky and needs your brain to get involved. If you're an XFiles/STRATEGY-GAME fan, this IS THE GAME FOR YOU

Summary: So close yet so far
Review: I absolutely loved this game. It has everything I enjoy about computer games and more. I'm not an X-files fan but the characters and situations were still enjoyable to me. I like the interface and inventory and overall gameplay. The one disappointing thing about the game was the possibility of dying. I counter this by being careful to save before doing anything rash. However, when I was right at the end of the game, I killed someone who, apparently, was supposed to come and help me later on. The game should not allow me to get into this no-win situation! I had come so far and now I would have to start over in order to see the end of the game. Very disappointing.
