Summary: Cool game.
Review: An overall badass game. The interface is very well done, contains all the orders needed to run a SWAT team, but it's not too complex so even the casual gamer can figure it out. Great graphics, much better than Rainbow 6. This is a, as I stated before, great game, great sound, great graphics, and lots o' shootouts make it fun as hell. Sorry for the concise review but I can't sum it up any better without using incredible vulgarity, and lots of hand gestures.

Summary: A great tactical combat game!
Review: Buy this game right now. No other commpany could make a better game dealing with Swat tactics. They even brought in Darryl Gates who headed the damn thing up in real life. Awesome graphics and game control.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good gameplay, runs on almost all systems, etc.
Review: Christmas 1999 - My brother-in-law presents me with Swat 3, the original version. Not a bad game, just short. I thought to myself "This game is DIEING for multi-player", but oh well, I finished it in about a week and kinda forgot about it. Moved on to other drugs like Code Name: Hitman and The Rogue Spear.

Flash forward to Nov 2001 - I'm looking for the NEW game that won't leave me wanting to burn my PC in to a smoldering hunk of metal like World War II On-Line has (...). I buy Operation Flashpoint. Not bad. Kinda buggy, the multi-player is....ok. I'm still craving more. I run across a review of Swat 3-Game of the Year version. "Hmmm" I think to my self "Swat 3 was a good game but "Game of the Year"?!?! What year?". I start looking deeper in to what "Game of the Year" means. Seems that Sierra Studios has updated Swat 3 three times! and since I had the original version I could upgrade for free!!!! So unlike other software manufacturers who charge for relatively small "upgrades", Sierra Studios upgrades (and dramatically changes the game for the better) for free! This game now ROCKS!!! I love FPS games like Rogue Spear and HATE Half Life/Quake/Doom games. I need realism, one bullet to the head and you die. That's a game! With Swat 3 you have that realism. One of my favorite things about this game that I wish other games would incorporate is the way bullets react to solid objects. If I have a M16 and I shoot at a wooden door the bullets would pass right thru and strike whatever was on the other site, but if I fire the same gun at a brick wall, the bullets would not penetrate. It makes it very interesting to hide in a room and to watch the bullets rip thru the wall right next to your head from a fire fight out side! The co-op levels of the game where you have to go in and rescue people or disarm bombs are great. Lots of team work breaching doors, stacking up and rushing in to a dark room after the flash bang goes off! Man! What a good time! But some times I feel just like running around in Man's Chinese Theater and blowing Perps away with a shotgun, and with the Deathmatch/Last Man Standing levels they added you can do it!
So basically if you are looking for an incredible FPS with killer Mulit-player/Deathmatch, this is the game for you. Also since the game is getting old the price should be falling.

Summary: I don't recomemd you buy it,comparing to Metalgear and...
Review: Comparing with Metalgear solid or Half-life,this game is not good. as:

1) It is slow and boring. 2) The graphy and charactors look more like 2D. 3) The Brief at the begining of every mission is incorrect sometime, for example,it tell you there are 3 suspects, but at the end the report show you've shoot down 9 suspects. 4) As a team leader(player),you give orders ( like "fall in" )to your elements, but they often don't fellow you and walk by themself or stand alone...

Summary: ADDICTED to SWAT3
Review: Exciting game for players who wants to fight and use their brain simultaneously. You can be a killer but you must be a good commander too. I've been playing SWAT3 for 6 months and I still feel emotions starting missions.

Do not worry at first time when you are fresh with all the functions, equipment etc. Try them with no purpose to win the mission.

NOW SWAT3 Elite offers new, longer missions and multiplayer functions. So now you can have fun with Real opponents, but remember: Artificial Intellingence works nice either.

If you are going to buy download the demo first and check whether it is GOOD TO BUY for you !

Summary: CLOSEST YOU WILL GET TO CQB!!! FROM A MARINES EYE VIEW
Review: I am a US Marine and have been trained in CQB by DEA, Navy Seals, Delta Force, and alot more other organizations. This is the closest you will ever get besides being in a stack and doing the real thing. The weapons are not some made up [junk] they are what we really use. The terms are the same and the way they move, along with how they perfrom. If you want the best game ever made BUY THIS ONE!

Summary: Great missions, wonderful setup, but awful action...
Review: I bought 2 copies of the game... one for me and one for my friend. I shoved the CD into my system and installed, no prob. i got into the game, and i began the first mission... there was a realistic voice briefing me and it all was so amazing...until i got to the mission action. the actual action was slow, pixelated, and non-userfriendly. I can understand ther being a multitude of weapons, but having to memorize 12 buttons for equipment alone? also, i found that the levels became disorienting when dark rooms were present. In reality, if you took the mission setup from SWAT and the action from Rainbow 6, you would have yourself the most kickass game ever seen....

overall, i don't recommend this game to anyone... it needs better controls, smoother graphics, and a more detailed storyline.

and no, it is not my system.... i have a Pentium 3, 128 megs, 8meg vid card, and 800 megahertz packed into my desktop puppy.
