Summary: This game rocks
Review: This game is fantastic. You get to play in every imaginable WWII vehicle and then some. The views are excellent and changable. There are a number of character types a person can play with a multitude of their own weapons and abilities. This game is great and the expansions just keep on coming. Download the free Desert Combat...Helicopters are a blast.

The graphics of the game can be changed to both your computer's ability and your satisfaction. This game is the greatest war game out there for first shooters. Buy and enjoy the endless action.

Summary: Good, but needs some work.
Review: The overall concept of the game is very good, but there is more to be desired. First the graphics are only so-so, but that can be expected beceause it is an online game where the more complex the graphics are the more laggy it will be. Also in some of the classes the developers left gaps in some of the equiptment for certain clases. But some of these things can be fixed in mods which is the reason this game recieved a four. The mods availible are endless. The high quality mods really do a nice job of filling the missing equiptment from the classes. With this said I paid way too much for it but the game will get some use especialy if the game modders keep creating new and innovative additions to the already satisfactory game.

Summary: Excellent game!
Review: This game is incredible if your into 1st player action sequences. If you want relive battles of WW2 in the Pacific, Europe, and North Africa then this game is for you. Battles include Iwo Jima, Battle of the Bulge, Wake Island, Battle for Berlin, Stalingrad, and Omaha Beach. Just an amazing game but the online gaming takes the cake. You can play as the Axis or the Allies.

Summary: Great game, you must buy it
Review: Overall, the game is really fun, its one of my favorites. However, there are some negatives. You must have a pretty fast computer to run it smoothly, it ran well with my 1 gig, 384mb, 128 geforce4 ti 4400. The single player is very poor because all you do is play the same maps as the multiplayer but with bots. Lastly, in order to enjoy the multiplayer, you must have a broadband connection. The awesome multiplayer, good gameplay, and Desert Combat mod are the main reasons to buy this game.

Summary: It just keeps getting better!
Review: New vehicles (including motorcycles with sidecars!), new aircraft, guided missiles, jetpacks, amphibious assault craft, awesome new maps, and on and on! BF 1942 just got better...again! The Road to Rome was a great addition to an already fabulous game. Secret Weapons doesn't disappoint either. If you love BF 1942, you MUST have this new expansion. It was already the greatest online action game to be released since Counter Strike, and expansions such as this one keep cementing it as one of the greatest games of all time. I've spent the last 3 days playing all the new maps, and with all the new weapons, and it was worth every penny. Don't be discouraged by the price tag. While it may be more expensive than other expansion packs, it's better to pay ten bucks more for the high quality we continue to enjoy with this series. If there were six stars available, this would surely get it. Highly recommended!

Summary: The ultimate, especially for those on broadband
Review: BF1942 is a great game, but its not really the game im writing about. Its how this game can be expanded. For those who buy games and then get sick of them because its the same old thing, this game does not deliver that. The mods are amazing, You can d/l mods like Desert Combat, Merciless, Heavy Bombardment, Black Hawk Down, even a star wars mod. Plus with 2 expansion pack already released and more to come.. This game is just SWEET... I have yet to play a better WW2 game especially one thats as enjoyable as this, fast paced, fun, and realistic, all i can say its great.. TO bad that after a recent video card upgrad it crashes to my desktop though.. yes thats the downfall.. i cannot play BF1942 currently because i have not found a walk around on my crash to desktop issue. And its not just an issue with me.. many users have this problem and are unhappy with the game for that reason.. well im getting a 9800 Pro "best vid card on the market' maybe that will fix my problem.

Summary: Great Game!
Review: This is the best game in the world if you love war type games. I think that it is really cool that this game is in WWII which is awsome. Two reasons you shouldn't buy this game though:
1. You need an incredibly powerful computer to handle this. It takes up a lot of room and you need a DVD card.
2. If you don't have internet this game sucks. The single player is boring.
If you have internet and a great computer (which luckily I have) this to me is the best game you can get on the market.

Summary: Awsome Game
Review: Awsome game. I would strongly recomend buying this game - though you should have a good computer. . Also don't buy this game for just the single player - the multi is way more tougher, intresting, and funner, plus in multi-player they add battle ship, subs, and bomber (single or co-op, human and comp vs human and comp mulitplayer, don't have these vehicles. The weapons and vehicles are very cool. Vehicles range from tanks to airplanes to BATTLE SHIPS with tons'o'guns. The weapons are bases on kits - you pick each time you respawn. Each kit has a certain "theme" (scout, assult, medic, engineer, and anti-armor), you get the weapons in the kit and stick with them until you die or you pick up another kit you find (when a person gets killed they drop thier). Unfortunaly since its based on kits you cant kill everybody - this has happened to me many times - I have a good anti-infantry kit and I start shooting, but then a tank comes and blows the crap outa me. Next I pick the anti-tank kit when I respawn hoping to kill the tank. When I find him I hit and run, hit and run until he is dead. After hes killed I walk around, run into an enemy with a sub-machine gun and he shoots the crap outa me. You see my problem? OH well, I guess it's "more realist" and it adds an interesting twist. Still an awsome game though. And a tip - don't buy expansions to this game if you have an internet connection - download mods. The game has a special option just for this purpose. (If you want a good mod download Desert Combat, I also heard the Forgotten Hope mod is well done). Though if you have a crappy internet connection they may take awhile (mine took half the night with a 300K connection), the Desert Combat mod is 550MB.

Summary: ...Almost Godlike
Review: Those are the only words that describe this brilliant multiplayer masterpeice. And dats' nooo lie. Although the single player mode can be dull, boring, and at times FAR too easy, the multiplayer is what this game was made for, and it reeeaaaally cooks. Ranking up there with the multiplayer big boys like Counterstrike, and Starcraft, the playabillity, and REplayability of this game is such that it is almost a sin. Each map is huge, normally with several vehicles, stationary guns, AA turrets, cannons, boats and other marvels of 1940s millitary technology, all of which you can jump in and out of quickly. In my personal favorite mode of play (conquest) you go to the hot spots on the map, and fight to conquer them for your team, which is a great and inovative way to keep people busy with TWO objectives, kill people, and take over strategic points of the map.

Unfourtunatly, there was alot left untouched that really ruin the dynamics of online play. On maps with team killing enabled, everyone will crowd around the spawn point for one plane, then kill each other trying to take it. While this is easily fixable by simply turning off teamkilling, its still an annoyance. Another problem would be the many glitches the game is riddled with. However all these problems are VERY easy to see past. I reccomend this game to anyone that enjoys war simulations of any kind. There is a reason this game is the massive hit it is.

PROS:
Lots of vehicles, including airplanes, tanks, boats, and jeeps
A good amount of detailed maps.
Weapons up the wazoo, Submachine guns, sniper rifles, rifles, machine guns, hand guns, Grenades, knives, AA stations, stationary machine guns, artillary, and more.
Decent graphics for a game so huge.
Good system, allowing you to get online and play QUICK. No Gamespy required!
Free maps released every once in a while by EA!

CONS:
Frequent glitches
Some mild lagging even on top-of-the-line equipment
