Review: Alright, I don't do reviews normally, but I will because I have a considerable amount of experience with this game. Short answer- I love it. Yes, it has its issues, but having played it alot and actually KNOWING some of those who complain, I have to say that most of them are whiners who complain if everything in the game isn't set up to enhance their particular character in a way that complements their play style perfectly.

First- The game is beautiful with the SI expansion, and I imagine that with Trials of Atlantis it will be even moreso. I've played tons of MMORPG's, and this is the only one that has made me say, "wow" over and over. I don't think you'll ever have anyone complaining about the eye candy. It's just that attractive.

The gameplay- Yes, it takes alot of time to "ding 50", which is the highest current level in the game. I have a level 50 Elf Mana Eldritch. He took some time to make. But he was worth it. I now am fooling around with a low level Lurikeen Nightshade (they can go invisible and stab badguys in the face...good fun) and he's been an absolute blast as well..TOTALLY DIFFERENT GAMEPLAY than my Eld. I haven't even tried the other 2 realms yet. This game can keep you entertained for a good long time if that's any indication.

And since I'm probably running out of room..Realm Vs. Realm combat. There are 3 sets of battlegrounds for newer players that start at 19 and end at 35..You can get to 19 fairly quickly, so you'll get a taste of realm vs realm early if you would like. The more badguys you kill, the more "realm points" you get. The more realm points you get, the more realm abilities (extras to beef your character up) you can buy. It's really pretty fun.

2 last points- Yes, you can play this game solo. But yes, it's better to find a group of people you can get alongw with and join a guild. I've played both ways, and joining my guild was the best thing I've done in the game as far as making it more enjoyable. They'll help you alot, you'll help them, and it just makes sense to be part of a team. Your guild can join alliances, which are less important, but do expand the pool of folks you'll have a relationship with.

Finally, do some research before you make your character!! Except for a few "re-specs" to re-specity your character's skills at levels 20 and 40 if you decide you want to concentrate on a different skill set, re-spec'ing is hard to come by, in the form of difficult to get quest items. So look around and find the best "template" for the type of character you want to be. There's hundreds out there to fit your play style.

In short, buy it, and see you on the Frontier.

Summary: Mythic should have a couple servers without TOA
Review: Before TOA I would give this game a 4.5 star rating, after TOA released I will give it 0.5 stars. It would be nice if Mythic added a couple non TOA servers. I have five level 50 characters that I will not play much longer after my account expires. Since TOA released, the winner in RVR is not the best fighters, the winner is who has the most TOA artifacts. IMO took all the fun away from RvR. I would not suggest buying this game.

Summary: This game rocks
Review: Don't believe this quote

"Yes I do have 4 level 50 toons. Heres there name's Zymtoic, soulbainsher, jaundice, mulisha. Look them up on the hearld you newbie. This guy doesnt know what he is talking about. I would advise you dont buy this game, like I said before..... Hack programs and Toa,totaly screwed the fun of the game up bad.....".

I don't remember the number 49 coming after 50?Your ctoon Mulisha is only 49 not 50 so you don't have 4 level 50 Toons.
This game is amazing and fun all in one.Way better than EQ or UO.

Summary: playing for a couple years now
Review: First i would like to state to our UK inquirer about the cost. For the american version the cost is roughly ranging from $15 a month to $10 a month. If you choose monthly it does cost $15 a month and Mythic WILL CONTINUE TO CHARGE YOU! Some people seem to miss that when they sign up and pay for it. But if you choose the 6 month subscription it comes out to roughly $10 a month ($60 one time)
Second, I have been playing this game for sometime and have found that it is highly addictive. I tell people who are interested that the world of DOAC is similiar to online chat....but with combat. The world of DAOC itself is a vast one, but add in the different personalities of the players you work with and compete against and it brings this game into a whole new level. You can play this game like any other and not step out into the Frontiers and still enjoy new things, or you can attempt to outwit and out match opponents from two different realms as you try to storm their keeps. I recommend this game to anyone who is looking for something different. And make sure to pick up the Trials of Atlantis as well. It's added a whole new concept to the world of Dark Age Of Camelot.

Summary: About european and USA servers
Review: Game is GREAT. U already know that. Excellent graphics, addicting gameplay, dozens of different races and classes, simply the best MMORG available today.

Well, regarding the servers: Theres 2 groups of servers : USA and Europe. The game is oriented to play in 1 of these groups. If u buy the game from amazon.com, ull be able to play only in 1 of the USA servers. No access to european ones.

Case u like to play at european servers (wich is my case), i suggest u to buy the game from amazon.co.uk. Just remember, in this case, ull not be able to play USA servers.

Or, simply buy both, install then and pay the fee twice, and have all servers in the world available to u :). It worth it.

Summary: Without doubt, the best game ever
Review: I am an avid gamer, and in all my gaming experience, this is the best game I have ever played- you continually get updates from Mythic Entertainment, and the support is pretty good- very fun, and very addicting :P

Summary: Huh? This games graphics seem 2000 years old!!!
Review: I don't understand who likes this game? The graphics are VERY ancient. There also is no adventure to this game. The only thing you do is level, and level, and level. The adventure tasks that your trainer gives you have about 30 words in them, that's all. 30 words that's all, thats the big adventure in this game? To show that your in a city, there are 4 or 5 stones around in a circle, thats it. I think a high school student could of done a much better job. By the way I only played Midgard, I don't know about the other realms.
But don't take my word for it, you can download and play for free. Just check out the graphics, and redundant music, its embarrassing. Go to the co. main website download the game and play for free if you really want to see BAD.

Summary: Very nice game
Review: I downloaded the 7 day trial a few days ago and i'm level 10. I'm new to the game but I must say this game is outstanding! I have been playing constantly, it's hard to go to work in the afternoon when all you want to do is play this game. I was playing Everquest for 4 years, and Recently Lineage 2. I have quit everquest, and am going to be cancelling my billing on Lineage as soon as I get this package!. I cannot wait to play with the expansion, I love this game and in fact, My first night on the game, I got helped by a complete stranger. She helped me learn the controls and how to do everything! People are very nice on this game, I really recommend this game over many of the game i've played.

Summary: everyone here who gave it a low rating is stupid
Review: I have been playing for 2 years and the reason why people gave it a bad rating is cause they diddnt follow the rule book or look on the herald. most likely if someone heals themselves during a battle with you and you lose they have ignore pain which is a 100% heal in combat you an only achieve this buy using around 20-30 realm points which is hard to get. another one is dont be stupid about billing. set it up for the 1st one and if you dont like it just go to the start screen, go to billing, and cancel it. its that simple! the only thing bad about this game that i agree with is PvP now a days its mostly whoever has the biggest zerg wins. but in the next few months the frontier patch is coming out which will change everything. so get the game! its great! its fun! my character is on Midgard Merlin name JaggedFel you have any questions if you start to play ask me...hope this helped you

Summary: So so.
Review: I just want to say b4 I get started that I tried this game after enjoying World of Warcraft for a week or so. What does this mean? It means its like trying a biscuit after eating a pizza and giving a comparison...there is none.

The only reason I even downloaded this game was because I was waiting to get World of Warcraft after its open beta ended and needed something to hold me over. I read up on other mmorpgs out there and saw that this one was very close to WoW. It was...but it was much more boring.

To start, the camera movements were horrible, I couldn't even look behind me without stopping and turning around...this is rediculous when being chased by an enemy and not knowing when its safe to stop running. Moving from side to side(strafing) is slow as hell, to the point you dont even use it most of the time. Leveling is probably the worst thing about this game. You find yourself spending up to 3 or 4 hours a session beating on all sorts of wierd things trying to gain experience points. Masssssivvvveeee unbalanced issues with the character. For example: the fighter(warrior type) is stinged out so bad. He has no chance whatsoever against a caster. I started as a fighter and got to level 9 in about 2 days. When I made a caster I did it in a few hours.

To give the game some credit, it does have a helllll of a lot of stuff to do, you probably wont even do a quarter of the things you can do in this game b4 you are sick of it, but its still there. I was able to play World of Warcraft for 10 days straight. Every waking hour was spent playing or thinking about it. And when the beta was over it left me feeling like I just stopped doing a drug. I felt soooo bored with everything, and still do, which is why im here right now writing this review. The game is PURE masterpiece...its crack. You will be hooked for life, especially if you liked warcraft.

Oh enough of this...buy World of Warcraft, its 20x better...problem is wait a month or two because theres so many people playing it right now that its causing server problems...major ones.
