Microsoft Plus! for Windows XP

Summary: The usual from Microsoft
Review: There is nothing special about microsoft plus. The 3-D is nice, and games are entertaining, but this package isn't worth $.... The games offered in the package have very limited play and so you have to purchase other packages to play the game completely. The screensavers are okay, but there many screensavers that you can download from many sites. This product improves how Windows XP looks but it doesn't improve everything dramaticly. Also Plus! needs a lot of Video Memory at least 16MB, so dont buy it if you dont have enough Video Memory. There are only 4 themes, so overall this product is not worth $.... It should come with Windows XP without having to purchase it on its own.

Summary: Beware!
Review: This product is almost like giving away 40 bucks! First of all people say that it dramatically improves Windows XP, and cannot live without it. I totally disagree with those statements. The products needs a lot of memory on your computer, if you don't have video memory, like me, stay away because if you don't you cannot use it's features. I was totally unaware of this considering I looked at others reviews which said 'Get this, without it, Windows XP is nothing" Well this is totally wrong. I am returning mine.

Summary: Nothing New! Same old (...) with pretty colors.
Review: This plus pack does not give you your moneys worth. The fish screen saver only gives you 3 fish. If you want more you can pay (dollar amount) to upgrade it and have more fish. The bowling game is only 2 levels. Then you can pay to get more. For the price of this software these things should have been included. There are only 4 themes total. Aquarium, Da Vinci, Nature and Space. The same themes from Win98 and ME! Nothing new!

Summary: Not worth it at all...
Review: Plus is pretty cool, but you don't get much for your money. You get games that are just playable demos that if you want more levels you have to purchase them. (at outrageous prices) You get like 4 themes. They are pretty neat, but 4? How about a few more? You get a cool Aquarium screen saver that is lifelike with cool graphics. But, you only get 4 fish. To get more fish you have to buy them (for like half the price of Plus) from Microsoft. XP is a good OS, so far I haven't had any problems, but Plus isn't half the upgrade Plus for Win95 was. Don't bother getting it. It is too expensive and there isn't much to it.

Review: The skins for Media Player are a waste;
The bowling game is a 2-version demo (and quite dull);
The other two games are fair.
The other features you will be very unlikely to use.
The fish screen saver is very cool but if you want more fish, you have to buy them.
Many features are actually demo versions that ask you to buy more.
...For $5.00 it would be OK. For $40 it's a rip-off.

Summary: Micro Rip Off
Review: XP Plus is not worth the money. The items they call "Plus" should have been included with the original program. The few extra themes, screensavers and wallpaper are not worth the extra money. The few games are not worth the money. (...) (...) I'm hoping that I can save you money by writing this review. I'm not trying to be spiteful. I agree, someone else may think this program is fantastic. I'm giving you my opinion.

Review: Not too impressed. Many of the programs are not full versions. It's more like a preview of other Microsoft programs. Half the price of Windows xp not nearly half as good. Should be a free demo cd.

Summary: Requirements too high!
Review: Caveat emptor! Previous editions of Plus! made no exotic demands on computer systems, but this new version is a badnews exception. If your computer's video card is not extremely high-end (3-D graphics with SIXTEEN MEGABYTES of on-board memory!) you will not be able to use more than half of Plus's features. With many computers now using mother-board based video systems that cannot be upgraded without voiding the warranty, this program is very poorly designed. What good are flashy graphics if they cannot be displayed on many systems?

Review: This is great product once you figure it out.When you upgrade to windows XP, you need to upgrade everything on your computer.Windows support people are great to work with for this.THANK to them my computer is going good for now.

Review: PLUS for Windows XP does'nt offer anything spectacular for XP users, in fact most of these "additional features" should have been included in XP in the first place. The speaker enhancements worked well for the Altec Lansing set I have, but four themes and limited games do not a PLUS pack make.
