Summary: One person's opinion
Review: I bought the software from a local computer store. I installed it per the instructions and registered with 321. Didn't work. I called the company (my nickel) and after 30 minutes got thru to tech support. To make a long story shorter, after 3 days and many e-mails they couldn't get it to work either. They suggested I buy a new version from them. I just bought the new version! HELLO! Their tech support is very bad. Very disappointed that it didn't work, kept crashing my computer, refused a refund, and a very cavalier attitude toward the consumer. I would steer clear of this product. Hope my experience isn't indicative of how they treat their customers. I would try another comapny if you are interested in copying DVDs.

Summary: Software is not reliable; parent company is crooked
Review: I bought this software directly from the company,

So I spent the $60 on this software based on recommendations in PC Magazine and a computer gaming magazine. I just couldn't get the thing to work. I produced coaster after coaster. No problem, these things happen. Sometimes computers are just flaky. Fine, so I uninstall the software and email a request for a refund. Their website offers a "100% Money-back Guarantee." Sure, they reply, no problem. We'll credit your account within 10 business days...

Three weeks later, no refund. Four weeks later, no refund. Now my requests for a status are being ignored. Their software MAY work for you, but if it doesn't, kiss your money good-bye. Avoid this company. They are thieves.

Summary: Not a Games Copy Review, but I have to counter...
Review: I cannot sit by and let Mr. Monterey, CA (below) trash a product that is actually very decent...please understand, however, that I have not used and I am NOT reviewing DVD Games Copy. What upsets me, is that this user is trashing the DVD X Copy program (also by 321 Studios) which, in my opinion, is a perfect 5!!!

Whatever his issues are, I have a strong feeling that it is a problem with his own hardware or cheap media he may be using to burn his stuff to. With a TDK DVD drive, and TDK 4X DVD +R discs (yes, more expensive, but worth the extra bling-bling), I have successfully backed up over 50 movies with only 4 "coasters" (coasters are duds) and one of those was caused by Norton Anti-Virus when it kicked in to do a system scan - OOPS! - not X Copy's fault! I happen to feel that a 50:4 success ratio is pretty darn good, myself!

I am very pleased with the product, and am a little more relieved knowing I have a backup when my 1-and-a-half- year old daughter gets her grimy fingers all over our kid's collection of movies and uses them for frisbies!

Please know that there ARE happy users out there; don't take everything you read as truth!

P.S. - I WILL agree on the assessment of Tech Suppport - very poor!

Summary: Outstanding! And, easy!
Review: I just made my backups of Hitman:Contracts. That game has so much copy protection (Securom) that it would NOT run off of my backups made with CloneCD. However, when i backed up with GamesXcopy, it worked perfectly. Even directly off of the hard drive with no cd in the drive! This program is worth its' weight in gold. There is even a 'simple' copy setting that takes just a couple of clicks to make perfect backups with NO changes to the contents of the original CD! I couldn't be happier.

Summary: Great software
Review: I picked this software up today and it is running fine so far. It lets you make copies of your disc so that you can keep the originals from being over used and can place images of the disc on your hard drive so you don't even need to put the disc in to run the games that require a disc.

Summary: Bad software
Review: Please do not trust the 321 studio product anymore. All kind of Xcopy doesn't work right. Even the DVDXcopy too. Of course, it is not that easy to make a copy. If everyone do it, nobody will buy the original copy. And there are no more copyright stuff there. Be honest! how many people will buy an original and just make a backup copy. Don't be fool! I got the DVDXcopy Gold and the platium version. Both are not working to duplicate the DVD movie. Because it won't let you copy the 7.4GB movie. GameXcopy also doesn't work because the new game has more advanced protection to prevent illegal copy. Why the tech support bad? because they are finding a place to cover their butt. They created a lot of trouble related to copyright and the refund. The DVDXcopy platium already out of the shelf in the market because it is prohibited now. Does anybody know if you really want to copy a DVD movie. Just go to download DVD shrink 3.1 or higher on internet and copy with nero 6.0 will be fine. It is free software and won't charge you a penny. It made exact perfect backup copy on your DVD movie. DVD shrink 3.1 is freeware, not trial version. No need pay hundred more dollars buying some junk stuff.
