Summary: Works but DVDshrink is better and free...
Review: Can something free beat this program? YES, it's called dvdshrink! (be sure to use version 3.2) Bought this software for thirty dollars in a store. On first use a msg poped up and said I had to dnload a css decrypter from the web site. I did this and the program worked fine on several dvd's that I own, including a 2004 release. PROBLEM: 1. It doesn't offer the critical shrinking ability of dvdshrink (freeware) which offers copies as non-compressed or compressed. The result is the menu is preserved but the parts that spill over on to the 2nd disc will not work unless you switch discs. I have a 3 cd set for a movie. With the program it would turn into 6 cd's! That is a lot of time to burn and some $ on discs. On ebay the program is selling from one to three dollars at the buy now price. That tells you what the market thinks of this software. Again dnload dvdshrink v 3.2 and you will be glad you did.

Summary: no Support
Review: Don't buy this product there is no support what so ever. The say you can get patches and downloads but you can't. All this company wants is your money. The product does not work.

Summary: It just doesn't work.
Review: Don't buy this software - it doesn't work and tech support doesn't care. Do yourself a favor and find other software.

Summary: Beats the pants off 321 studios and you save $100.00
Review: I first purchased 321 Studios DVD X Copy Platinum before the injuction and their software hasn't worked yet. I did burn the first chapter of Star Trek Voyager Season 2 Disc 1, but not the oher chapters!! so I have a semi coaster.

DVD Copyware 3, has worked flawlessly, splitting DVD's properly and I didn't have to spend $150 for it either. The recent upgrade from Redexpress website added a check box for "dvd write medium ready" for those of us with 2 burners or those that have a means to read from a seperate DVD drive. Of course it will save the files to the hard drive and then write seperately if you only have one DVD burner. Overall a much superior product to 321 Studios and you don't have to disable your background applications. (well maybe incd.exe and wpctrl.exe both packet writing software) but 321 studios recommends you disable a whole bunch of stuff and to uninstall it!!! what garbage....

Summary: Worth the Upgrade
Review: I've been using an older version of DVD Copyware (2.0 I think) and had a few problems. Most issues were caused by the interaction of Copyware and the burn engine(Nero). My old version had a Nero istallation CD and a Copyware install CD. For some reason, both programs didn't always cooperate, but usually did the job.

I saw the new version in the store yesterday and decided to upgrade. I'm glad I did. The new version is an all-in-one solution and so far is performing much better in regards to ease of use and reliability.

The program is easy to use. I burned a few movies yesterday that gave me problems in the past and it worked great. I typically only make an exact back up copy of a DVD. Haven't tried any advanced features. Although I noticed that it splits to the 2nd DVD at a scene break when creating a copy of a two DVD set which was nice.

System info: XP home on a Dell PII, 450Mhz, 256RAM.

Summary: flawless and easy, 100 titles burned no problems.
Review: This program doesn't work. Won't copy many DVD's. Customer support is a joke. They appear to care and give you a "Ticket" number for your problem. Good luck. I purchased this at CompUSA and will return it immediately. The box label for CopyWare 3 states that it will "make a perfect backup copy of ANY DVD movie!". I've yet to see it do that. I'm going to try DVD Cloner II next. Also, don't take the advise of anyone at CompUSA. My opinions...

Summary: No support
Review: Tried to use this product, and when I ran into trouble, the customer service was non-existant. Never got back to me after numerous attempts; their website links were bad or evasive. Also, it doesn't compress the DVDs like some other programs, which I believe it fails to mention anywhere on the box. Anyway 1 Click DVD Copy is a vastly superior program, with an extremely diligent support team.
