Summary: Too Many Bugs
Review: I used version 5.5 of Web Editor and it was pretty good. But I've had nothing but problems with this version.

*The typing sometimes won't wordwrap - for reasons I can't figure out.

*The words will scrunch together for unknown reasons. For instance, "I am happy" will appear as "Iamhappy". Fix it, and the problem comes back -- more bugs.

*The spell checker won't spot all the mispelled words.

* Publishing to the site is uneven. On some sites it works fine, while on others it won't let you view the files on the web host (haven't the faintest idea why.)

Using this program was such a royal pain, I finally gave up and switched to FUSION 8 - FUSION worked like a charm.

Summary: Non existant support and MAJOR BUGS
Review: I wish they had a -10 rating...
11 E-mails to Namo to get RMA, Updates, tech support... what a nightmare. The product DOES NOT WORK AS ADVERTISED, is NOT user friendly, has MAJOR bugs, any decent templates are $65 extra to buy, then once you download and pay, won't work... but for and extra $500, the will make them work for you. WHAT A SCAM!
RUN AWAY from this dispicable, pathetic application!
I am not a new user, either. I use Dreamweaver and front page and was just looking for a quicker alt for those small clients, but this thing is a pathetic sham. A portal to expensive, overpriced options and a disgrace...
The box is pretty though.

Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK
Review: I wonder how this junk came to be listed at Amazon. The program installs spy-ware as well as other ad supported programs. Most importantly, Namo does not do its job. It is alot easier to build a website using Dreamweaver or Frontpage. Just dont buy this. If you are thinking about it, then go download the trial version of it and see if you still want it. This is a junk. The worst product I've ever bought at amazon.

Summary: Not For Boneheads
Review: This program does a great job for the money, sure Dreamweaver does a bit more but is about as user friendly as a pitbull in heat. After your done shelling 400.00 for Dreamweaver you can go to the book store and buy a couple of 500 page doorstop manuals to learn how to use it. Namo will do anything you need especially if you know a little about web design and it is even more customizable than Dreamweaver. You'll notice I don't talk about Frontpage...

I actually use both Namo & Dreamweaver because some things are just easier in Namo. The graphix editor will cover the basics but you'll probably want a little stronger program if you are doing photos and creating graphix from scratch. Fireworks is very good for creating web graphix.

Namo has all the basic Javascript functions built in and it's pretty easy to grasp plus it comes with a pretty good user guide which you will need if you want to use some of the more advanced features this program has to offer. Also offers decent CSS support although Dreamweaver 2004 MX does a much better job dealing with CSS'.

This program will cover from beginner to advanced in web design, if you're a pro you'll be using Dreamweaver or GoLive. I was not disappointed for 80.00 and if your not a bonehead you won't be either.

Summary: Excellent web authoring tool
Review: WebEditor is a fine tool bundled with good utilities and very good content such as themes that are better than MSFrontpage. If you are more than a beginner when it comes to web authoring or are a quick learner, this is an excellent product at a great price. If you are a novice or want a simple tool to throw up webpages then MSfrontpage *hosted on a server with MSFrontpage server extensions* is an easier tool to use. If you don't have a server with MSFP extensions, then this is a better tool then MSFP which is not too flexible without the extensions.

The tool is very well execute. Although you may miss some of Microsoft's ease-of-use features, it is well organized and, at many things, better than MS frontpage. It also comes with a real manual instead of the lame manual-let that MSFP comes with (plan on paying another $40+ for a decent MSFP manual if you buy that tool.)

I've come across a few crashes but overall, the tool is quite stable for a *.0 rev.

I purchased this tool in order to create a school website that would be hosted on a server without MSFP extensions. I liked it so much that I switched my home page to it and have no plans to ever use MSFP again.

If you want more power with a tad less ease of use than MSFP and at a much better price, this is the tool get.

Marc
