Summary: Some Damme good action and fighting!
Review: "Double Impact" was one of the first Van Damme movies I saw, and it was the one that made me a major fan of fighting movies in general. Jean-Claude Van Damme plays two roles in this action packed fighter. Two identical twins were separated when they were only a few months old after their parents were killed. Frank (Geoffrey Lewis) brings them together after 25 years of separation. The charismatic Chad (Van Damme) and the troubled Alex (Van Damme) collide at first, especially when Alex suspects that Chad might be trying to take something real valuable away from him. But they do have a couple of things in common other than their looks. They both have the same enemies, and they're both GREAT fighters.

Yeah yeah, critics, non-fans, and even fans alike, all say that Jean-Claude Van Damme is a terrible actor. I don't know about everybody else, but I thought Van Damme did a good job portraying Alex (the evil twin) in this movie. But then again, when it comes to fighting movies, I don't care about great acting, I want to see some great fighting and action sequences, and "Double Impact" has tons of them!

All in all, "Double Impact" might not feature the greatest effects, acting, or plot, but it does have some of the best fighting! If you like fighting movies at all, get "Double Impact." It's damme good!!

Summary: Damme good action, make that double
Review: After break through movies like Kickboxer and Bloodsport, I knew this French-Candian martial artist is hardcore. I still remember the summer this movie came out, my entire family went to the local theater for the debut of "Double Impact". And what an Impact this movie has made on me.

I begin to take karate lessions after I got a double dosage of this action flick. Van Damme is a genius for presenting twice the action through the concept of twin brothers. This way, every scene includes him no matter what.

The story is cool, and it takes us to Hong Kong (one of my favorite countries in the world)... I enjoyed this movie alot.

Summary: Two of a Kind!
Review: Forget the Olsen twins, capture the essence of the Van Damme twins. Those little girls have nothing compared to Van Damme twins. They can't fight, they can't do the splits and they definitely can't act. Van Damme has big legs and can do the splits no problem! One Van Damme was in Beverly Hills and the other was in Hong Kong. They meet to fight the men who killed their parents. Justice! Van Damme meets Van Damme and the tougher one says, "here's some advice: why don't you take your fancy clothes and your black silk undawear and go back to Disneyland." YES! The best line to have ever hit the big screen. Double the Van Dammage and double the bags of popcorn to eat! It's crunch time!

Summary: Van Damme is good... but Cory Everson rocks!
Review: Give this flick credit for real HK locations and supporting actors. The story is typical for a Hong Kong action flick (and yes, that a *good* thing!). But while Van Damme is okay, Cory Everson is magnificent as the Bad Guy's "muscle". Tough and dangerous and always in skintight leather or vinyl, she rules!

Summary: vandamme, the 2000MOZART of kicking
Review: hello, no! this is it boys and girls, the tag team that even has marty janetty and shawn michaels heading for the highlands,:VAN DAMME and VAN DAMME. These two dudes with attitude show us once and for all what van dammage is all about. You may have heard of Bullet Time, but have you heard of Van Damme time? The man proves without a doubt that if you want to beat your enemies ten foot high jumping slo mo kicks are far superior to those damn commy guns that the bad guys are sporting. Major Dad is there too to provide some major help, and bolo gives the performance of his life as a big ugly asian guy. Big spenders beware, this flick wont burn a hole in your wallet, but it will give you a big kick in the (...).

Summary: Why isn't this on DVD yet?
Review: Hey, "Double Impact" is campy good fun. One of JCVD's best, and Cory Everson is kickin' in it. The theme song jams; it could have been an American hit if released as a single! Nice Hong Kong locations, and JCVD really tries to make his twin brother characters distinct. Give this guy a break.

Summary: Theres absolutely no one like Van Damme
Review: I dont care what anyone says, this movie is plain awsome. I've
been a Van Damme van my whole life, and this movie definately
ranks as one of my favorites.Jean-Claude plays the roles of Alex
and Chad perfectly. Hes too funny as chad....especially at the beginning of the movie when hes showing those fitness ladies
how easily he can do the splits. if you're looking for an all around good action/fighing movie, then you gotta get this one..
its a classic!

Summary: Damme Funny
Review: I guess the only actor worthy of co starring with van damme is van damme himself (Timecop and Replicant). I wish they still made movies as fun as this one. You'll have a great time watching this DVD with friends. Not much special features, I was hoping for maybe a scene where There's Three of Them!
