Summary: Try to "feel" Feeling Minnesota
Review: First of all I agree 100% with Lauren's review. This movie would never be nominated for an oscar so if that's what you are looking for you will be disappointed; however, for what the director/script/actors are trying to achieve, they successfully achieved it. It is kind of a cross between Thelma and Louise and Pulp Fiction. If that doesn't get your curiousity whetted enough to see it..... You will enjoy this movie if you enjoy cool music and have an "attitude." Rent it out and test yourself. I personally am buying it.

Summary: I FEEL FEELING MINNESOTA
Review: Firstly I must say to the nay sayers

WHY YOU SO LIKE DAT?

This is a great movie - amongst my favourites. I wore out the first tape I bought so I had to buy it again and I'm eagerly awaiting it's release on DVD.

There IS a plot. It's a black COMEDY. I can see the comic elements in it. The two brother's fighting. It's meant to be taken with a pinch of salt.

I liked the portayal of the way of life of these folks in Minnesota. The dagginess of their existence. One of my favourite bits is at the weeding when the groom is trying to kiss the bride and she doesn't wanna know - classic!

And of course - I love Keanu in this film! What a babe. He has great comic timing (you should do more comedy dude!) and his exudes innocence, yet is incredible sexy at the same time(COOL)

Yes I have to agree with the viewer from Glendale he looks yummy with his fluffy hair and those black pants (stop drooling).

Vincent D'Onofrio is a class act. He does very good charater acting. Cameron Diaz was excellent as well.

So, the script wasn't all that - but they done a great job of it.

IT'S A GOOD FILM - BUY IT!

Summary: Nickel & Diming
Review: I had a hard time grasping how a group of people is stealing (trading/swapping/owning) huge amounts of money from each other, yet individually looked, talked, acted, dressed, and lived like folks far below the poverty level.

Freddie (Cameron Diaz) is being forced to marry Sam Clayton (Vincent d'Onofrio) by Red (Delroy Lindo). For big, bad Red, it is a tidy transaction. Freddie supposedly stole ten thousand from him, and Red owes this amount to Sam. The film opens with reluctant Freddie in all her wedding finery racing madly down a dirt road in an ugly midwestern milieu chased by a muscle car filled with yowling raging men. Freddie loses and is perforce married to Sam (resplendent in a baby blue tuxedo and ruffled shirt) in an outdoor wedding held in the backyard of a very modest home. Enter Jjaks (unbeloved brother of Sam, Keanu Reeves), a loser from childhood days who is returning from a stint in the slammer. Freddie spots him after the nuptials, and for reasons best known to herself, looks to Jjaks as her salvation. He's supposedly going to get her out of the marriage and find the money that Sam has hidden. After a seduction of Jjaks subtle as a sledgehammer, they take off. The chase is on. The Clayton brothers steal cars like most people change their socks, so neither brother was ever short of transportation. After violent mayhem, dead bodies, and spectacular chase scenes, Freddie & Jjaks make their separate ways out of Minnesota and reunite (sorta).

"Feeling Minnesota" spared nothing in the talent department. Along with the principals, Tuesday Weld and Courtney Love had small roles as respectively, Mom Clayton and a dippy waitress. Special mention must go to Vincent d'Onofrio as unlovable, clumsy, hysterical Sam. He has a physical knack of stealing almost every scene he is in. Cameron Diaz gave the picture what little centeredness it had with her wanton, vulnerable, compelling performance as Freddy. Delroy Lindo as Red makes his character a tinderbox of menace and macho combined with heavy-handed good humor. I am always amazed at Keanu Reeves who can mumble his way through a stone faced performance; then smile once and collect big bucks and swarms of fans. He sticks to this winning combination in "Feeling Minnesota."

While overall enjoyable and with some great comic moments, the film teeters between dark comedy and wincing brutality. The viewer has a difficult time reconciling the entire experience. Unless you are a diehard Keanu Reeves fan, I think a rental will be enough.

Summary: Terrible
Review: I'm not sure why I hated this movie so much, since I've certainly seen- and enjoyed- movies that were much more disturbing. Maybe it was the fact that I felt like I was watching empty shells instead of actual characters- like, some motivation would've been nice. Although, I did miss about forty-five minutes of the movie, since after tolerating as much of it as I could I had to just fast-forward to the end to see what happened, and I have never before not sat through an entire film, which just goes to show how bad this was. The most redeeming aspect was Cameron Diaz, who showed more talent than her role deserved, and an opening sequence that was truly brilliant. Too bad the rest of the film couldn't maintain it. Don't see this movie.

Summary: Twists and Turns
Review: It starts off a little slow but about 3/4 of the way through it gets really interesting.
Good preformances.. but who taught Cameron Diaz how to drink a beer?

Summary: A joyous experience
Review: Keanu and Cameron have mesmerizing chemistry - it is just impossible to think anything or anyone could keep them apart. An unfortunate event happens about half-way through to throw this certainty into doubt - but don't panic! (spoiler) A sterling effort from a fine cast with a brilliant soundtrack.

Summary: I am ashamed for the people of Minnesota
Review: Mostly, I love watching Indie movies, with their complex plots, weaving an appeasing story with unforgettable characters. This movie tried miserably to be interesting, but it failed. In fact, I watched this movie, under 30 minutes because I was holding down the fast forward button so much. The only aspect of this movie I enjoyed, was the fact that Cameron Diaz was cast in it. Besides that, do yourself a favor and rent THE USUAL SUSPECTS for a really interesting plot line.

Summary: ...worst movie in years...
Review: Never before I left the cinema. But this time I really couldn't stand it anylonger. The plot was boring, strange and unlogical. Cameron Diaz was pretty to be looked at, Keanu Reeves also. That seems to sum it up nicely. If you can avoid that movie - do so.
