Rating: 4 stars
Summary: 7 out of 10
Review: Kuffs is a highly enjoyable Christian Slater film. Great narration. Very quirky ideas. Clever at a lot of times. Great acting by Christian Slater. There is a certain "Johnny Depp" quality about Christian Slater when I saw this film. He pulled it off great. Great comedy. Very good lessons taught here also. Consider the film as a smart comedy about being stupid but lucky. A couple highest points in this film were the gunshot wound lesson and the subtitles while being duct taped. There are other great moments. It is very unpredictable and fun movie to watch. This movie has solidified me as a great Christian Slater fan. Although it was made in 1992, I find it hard to believe that I haven't seen films like this. That is amazing. This kind of thing just tells me that Hollywood is releasing the wrong kinds of films. Kudos to Bruce Evans for witty direction.

Summary: Hilarious and fun
Review: Kuffs was a great movie in my opinion, not only because of Christian Slater (a definate plus)but the way it mixed hardcore action with enough humor to stay away from being grouped with Arnold S. movies. I give the plot line a 2, the action a 4, and the main character who shows that we're all only human a 5, so three stars is my rating. Rent it and enjoy!

Review: Long story short-Chris joins the police force in Sf to avenge his brother's murder. See, the DA can't finger the bad guy evernthough he saw him shoot him in a church. Typical of the courts. bad thing is Mia doesn't get naked.

Summary: OH YEAH BABY
Review: perfect blend of action and comedy. (not to mention that christian slater is soooooo incredibly hot) i'm glad someone finally made a movie with a hot cast, kick butt action, and plenty of explosions if you know what i mean!

Summary: Dino, wake up and release this on DVD!
Review: This is one of the best "fish-out-of-water" cop/buddy comedies that were so popular back in the late 80's and early 90's. Yes, Eddie Murphy started it all with "48 hours" and "Beverly Hills Cop", but believe me, the role of young George Kuffs fits Christian Slater like a glove.

Plot in a sentence or two: lazy 20-year old high-school drop-out George Kuffs inherits "citizen's patrol" service when his older brother (a cop) is killed. Given the chance to fill in his brother's shoes and avenge his death, Kuffs won't let it slip away. In process, he "learns" responsibility, courage and respect and discovers he's a better man than he though he is.

Constant humour, hillarious one-liners, fast pace and action, excellent casting and above all, Christian's presence and talking to camera (very few films have done that succesfully) all add class to this overlooked gem.

Of course, if you want "reality" go watch "NYPD Blue" or "Cops" and don't bother with this.

Favourite line: "I always wanted a gun."

Why this movie is still not on DVD is beyond me... Until it is, go and buy "Pump Up The Volume".

Summary: DBF (Dumb, But Fun)
Review: This is one those movies that my rational side says I shouldn't like, because, really, it's pretty dumb. But it's exactly the right kind of dumb that makes me tell my rational side to shut up for a couple of hours while I enjoy the damn movie, awready!
For instant synopsis, think "Ferris Bueller" meets "Beverly Hills Cop". I don't think we can credit the filmmakers with anything more "high concept" than that, and it's pretty much all you need to know anyway. You've seen the plot before, and the stunts, and all that jazz, so "Kuffs" doesn't waste a lot of time trying to pretend it's terribly original, it just goes for the fun side of all this stuff. It's pretty obvious that Slater's having a great time making this movie, and his enthusiasm's more than a little infectious. The director takes several opportunities to drop the 'fourth wall' and let us know that, after all, it's only a movie, folks (though it never descends into "Airplane!" style zaniness).
I'm not going to claim this is the greatest action/comedy ever made, but it's the kind of thing that either hits you the right way or it doesn't. Check it out, don't expect too much, and maybe it'll hit you the right way, too.

Summary: Kuffs, a comedy about growing up.
Review: This was definitely one of my fave' movies of the 90's. Young tearaway George Kuffs (Slater)has just dumped his pregnant girlfriend, <Milla Jovovich> when his older, policeman brother Brad (Bruce Boxleitner - Babylon 5> is murdered. Hopeful for some payback, George joins the local police force in order to catch his brother's killer, whilst also attempting to win back the girl, and in doing so learns to grow up somewhat in the process. As the billboard in the movie says quite aptly really, 'Life: what happens whilst you're making other plans.'
The soundtrack is also, just perfect for the film's different moods; 'I don't wanna live without you' may be the most moving song I've heard on a film. My only complaint is that it's not out on DVD!
