Summary: Great Movies!
Review: All four are just great!
Like one of the other reviewers said, its great how they can keep most of the same characters throughout all four movies, and also introduce new ones. Mel Gibson is a great actor, and in 1 and 2, I think he does the best job. I highly recommend these movies to people that like action packed movies with alot of humor mixed in.

Summary: Cops and Robbers with the best of them.
Review: All four of these movies are winners. Each of the movies gets 5 stars as far as I'm concerned. The first three are director cuts.

The first instalment has seven extra minutes of footage. You really get to see just how far down Mel Gibson's character, Martin Riggs has gone down. You see his wedding picture, but don't know anymore than that. He is near suicide early in the film, not able to laugh at the Three Stooges. Then, a short time later, he cooly walks into the line of fire of sniper at a school yard and shoots him.

You also see just how good of a shot Riggs is when he shoots a smilie face from several hundred feet way with his service revolver.

The first one revolves around death of a famly friend of Murtaugh, and the subsequent murder of another friend. Lot's of shooting, explosions, fights, car chases. Tons of action with bits of humor, especially about Murtaugh's wife's cooking. Best seen uncut for there are many swear words, and certain scenes that would never survive the cutting rooms of cable TV.

The second one just as good as the first adds more footage with Riggs flirting at the hotel pool before picking up Joe Pesci, who adds some of the greatest one liners in the past decade, as Leo Goetz. New footage also includes the whirling dizying numbers game that helps them find the home they're looking for.

This one involves the South African Embassy, before the end of apartheid. Opens with a great chase scene with cars, choppers, and shoot-outs. There is another chase with the station wagon, a two truck, and a surf-board.

One of the best scenes here is the commercial that Murtaugh's beautiful daughter Rianne stars in, and the consequences for Murtaugh. We also get a very intimate look into Riggs's wife's death, involving a gold pen.

The best scene in this movie, and one of my favorite all-time movie scenes is when Murtaugh goes into the consulate to try to emigrate South Africa. "Because You're Black"! Priceless. He talks of how he wants to free his black brothers. The bathroom scene is also priceless.
The consulate declares war on the police department after millions in Kruggerands were lost in a police bust. It involves diplomatic immunity, and a romance for Riggs.

Same action as the first. Riggs is finally over the death of his wife, and Murtaugh is still thinking of retirement. Fights, explosions and a falling house. Classic

The third isn't as good as the first two, but that doesn't mean that it isn't great. The first two are among the best cops and robbers movies ever made, any movie even a bit short of them are not a dissapointment.

Added footage on this one include new footage of Rianne and Riggs, more fighting at the boat, and the new addition to Riggs family with the newly acquired rottweiler.

The third installment hs a Clapton/Sting collaboration theme song. It opens with a huge explosion of a huge building. This was filmed at a real buidling that was being demolished, after Riggs cut the wrong wire. This gets them demoted to foot patrol.

There's a chase scene with two armored trucks, the station wagon, which takes a real beating, a motorcycle, and the final scene with the burning truck. It shows the way to "Cement" relationships.

This one revolves around gun smuggling, and we're introduced to Rene Russo who joins the cast as the tough as nails no hold barred cop who falls for Riggs. Chris Rock also joins as the brash, edgy lieutenant, who falls for Rianne.

The fourth one is almost as good as the first three, still great though. This one adds Jet Li, involved in a counterfiting ring. The movie opens with a flame thrower scene, and a huge explosion. There's a shoot-out with a boat sinking, immigration issues, great chase scenes involving a bicycle, a mobile home, trains, busses and cars.

It's a wonderful set of four movies that start in a rush from the beginning and don't let up to the very end. The first minute is great, right up to the

Summary: Four Of The Best Cop Dramas Ever Made
Review: Finally, all four of the "Lethal Weapon" movies are available in one boxed set. One of the greatest series ever to grace the screen, the movies have Mel Gibson and Danny Glover as cops on the edge bttling internation criminals while trying to keep their lives in order.

1987's "Lethal Weapon" is where it all began. Roger Murtaugh (Glover) is a veteran cop who is also a consumate family man. He is very careful and doesn't take any risks. Martin Riggs (Gibson), on the other hand, is a lonely, suicidal police officer who takes risks that even Dirty Harry wouldn't do. How could these do ever work together? Well, when a young girl mysterious jumps to her death out of a highrise apartment window, the two are assigned to work together. What ensues is a nonstop action (including a shootout at a Christmas Tree store and a a daring rescue of Murtaugh's daughter) as well as lots of funny moments. Also, the two cops, opposite as they are, strike up a friendship that would go on to make millions at the box office.

1989's "Lethal Weapon 2" has Gibson and Glover back in their roles. The two cops are slightly different now. Murtaugh is still the family man but now is more of a risktaker. Riggs is still the more daring of the two but has calmed down... somewhat. When Murtaugh's house is invaded by German criminals, the duo cracks down on a crime ring selling drugs. To make things a little more interesting for them, they are assigned to look after Leo Getz (Joe Pesci), a big moout money laundere in the Witness Protection program. Pesci turns in one of his finest comedic performances in this film. Like the first one, it's exciting and funny.

1993's "Lethal Weapon 3" came after a 4 - year hiatus. This one is my personal favorite. Gibson and Glover are back yet again, and Joe Pesci returns to the fold as well. Murtaugh is getting ready to retire from the force in this installment, leaving Riggs a little down. Somehow, Murtaugh knows that his last case will be a dangerous one. A shady ex - cop is selling armor - piercing bullets to his workers and kidnaps the police chief. Once again, Murtaugh and riggs have to keep the city from mass destruction while keeping themselves alive. This film icludes several great scenes, including the opening bomb sequence, the motorcycle off the roof sequence and the coda. This film is significant because Lorna Cole (Rene Russo) joins the team. She will go on to play an important role in Riggs' life.

"Lethal Weapon 4" came aftr a 5 - year hiatus. Most people call it the weakest effort of the series, but I like it. In this one, Riggs is now much more somber, finding inner peace with himself thanks to Lorna (Rene Russo), who is giving birth to Riggs' first child. Murtaugh is preparing to become a grandfather. Joe Pesci's Leo Getz is now a cop. Chris Rock is also a member of the force and the godfather of Riggs' grandchild. One thing stands in the way of this happy time. A Japanese crime ring led by Jet Li is plotting something and Riggs and Murtaugh go on one last adventure before riding into the sunset - amidst a frenzy of babies.

Overall, great dvd set. These are among my all - time favorite films. Let's hope that the cast reassmebles for "Lethal Weapon 5" soon.

Summary: Don't buy the box set - buy the DTS director Cuts versions
Review: I almost bought this but have discovered the hard way that you should ALWAYS research the DVD especially for uncut versions and missing footage. This box set contains the old cut versions and NOT the directors cut DTS versions. LW 1-3 are out on DTS and LW 4 is only available in DD 5.1 and actually contains the missing footage for the previous 3 movies !!!

Summary: Lethal Weapon Box Set
Review: I gave this DVD 5stars for three reasons. First, because it has both Wide and Full screen. Second, because it has all four theatrical trailers. And because they are action packed.

Summary: Gotta Love Em
Review: I love these movies.... Each movie in the series is action packed, funny, and is overall a great and very fun movie to watch. I seriously hope that the idea for a 5th Lethal Weapon pulls through. So....the movies are great....don't see anything wrong with the picture or sound...... It doesn't include very many special features, but seriously.....special features are really not needed at all to be able to enjoy these dvds/movies.

Summary: All together they make heart, action, comedy and pain.
Review: I've got all 4 lethal Weapon movies on DVD and I must say, you have to own ALL these movies to make the touching experience complete.

As I said these movies have heart and comedy along with the pain and action. You actually watch Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh grow so close in family and in work. They fight it all together, Riggs and Murtaugh, Its really touching. There is still no reason why Riggs cant give Murtaugh a bit of a hard time and joke around with him! The action on the other hand is 5 star. I enjoyed these movies so much and I am sure you will too.

I suggest buying the complete trilogy.

Summary: Lethal Weapon-
Review: If you are a Lethal Weapon fan then you don't need a review, you know which ones were the best. But it's still fun to go back and watch these movies over again. DVD is the only way.
