Summary: Can I only give it 5 stars?
Review: Well, I still have to buy this one. I'm hoping they come out with a part 3 though, so I can buy all of them in a box set perhaps.

Anyway, I just adore this movie. Probably my favorite vamp movie ever. I can't say enough good things about it. I even liked it better then the second.

I suppose this is more of a thumbs up for the movie then a review :) NOW RENT IT!

Summary: A WASTE OF TIME
Review: I cannot believe I wasted my time on this movie. It was such a disapointment. There was barely any dialogue. Wesley Snipes said, what, maybe 5 words in the whole movie. The ending didn't even make sense. I don't even know why they bothered making a sequel to this terrible movie. I only wish I could give this movie 0 stars. This was a ridiculous, cheesy, big fat waste of money of a movie.

Summary: New Line Cinema and comics do not mix.....
Review: New Line Cinema and Warner Brothers have something in commen. They can not make good comic to film projects. Case in point are the two Blade films and Spawn. Both were actually made on a pretty moderate budget. Had no scripts, bad visual effects, and acting that looks like it was more at home on the Gong show. Sure Blade did a decent run at the box office. But Box office returns do not always mean the film is any good, and in this case, it does not.

Summary: Techno-Vampo Cool
Review: I've never read any of the "Blade" comics, so I'm reviewing this film with absolutely nothing in print to compare it to. This is a solid action film that raises the bar for other comic hero movies. Snipes is superb as "Blade" and Dorff handles the role of "Deacon Frost" exceptionally well. It's a very dark film that has a continuous techno vibe to it. The fight scenes in this film are excellent and, much like "Mortal Kombat," driven by techno music. Unlike "Mortal Kombat," this movie isn't campy. The writers and director seem to have taken "Blade" and given him an honest, well-meaning portrayal. As stated before, I don't know how the comic is, but "Blade" seems to have been taken a lot more seriously than most superhero movies. It's much more serious than the first "Batman" movie and and ten times as sophisticated as the sequels.
As an action film, this movie more than suffices. If you enjoy the violent action of "Daredevil," you'll definitely like this film. It isn't as fun as "Spiderman," but that's because this character is more about business and doesn't have time to wisecrack like the Webslinger.

"Blade" will hold it's own against any of the Marvel movie adaptations, but I'm afraid the character is sort of like "Daredevil" in that he isn't as well known as Spiderman or the Incredible Hulk and therefore suffers for this reason at the box office. Don't get me wrong, I know that "Blades I & II" did exceptionally well profit-wise, but the character will never garner profits such as "Spiderman" simply because he isn't as recognizable as the wall-crawler. As a matter of fact, there are probably more obscure X-men out there who are better known than "Blade."

In closing I can only say this: "Blade" is an excellent action flick that pleases the eye and ear. It's a dead(or undead, if you please) serious movie that moves at a quick pace and satifies not only comic and action fans, but vampire fans as well.

Summary: The Era of Vampires has begun...
Review: Now get me if I am wrong but this movie is very good, I also think that many people think that since the sequel (Blade II) is better because it has better effects. Well although some of these effects are cheesy, this movie is one of the best vampire movies of all time.
If you have'nt read the comics then i suggest reading them for background support.
The DVD's special features are also very good such as: Featurette "La Magra", including the original ending
Featurette "Designing Blade"
Featurette "The Origins of Blade"
Featurette "The Blood Tide"

If you want to watch a good action movie then I will have to recommend Blade.

Summary: I love this series
Review: I saw Blade at last 12 times in the theatre. Why? For one I thought the editing was flawless no incongruities between plot points and characters. I loved the cast. Stephen Dorff as Deacon was cool. You got to see a side of Dorffs acting that you normally don't get to see also, Donal Logue as Quinn was a great wisecracking fool. Be sure to check out Blade 2 as well. Story still rocks and you got some new players to loe or hate.

Summary: Martial Arts Extravaganza....Oh Yeah, and Vampires Too!
Review: This movie kicks butt! Aside from the fantastic special effects with the vampires, it also has some of the best fight choreography of any martial arts movie out there.

Wesley Snipes plays Blade, a half human, half vampire who hunts and destroys vampires for creating him in the first place. His mother, pregnant with him when she was bitten, gives birth to him before the transformation is complete. Thus, he has their powers, and none of their weaknesses. The perfect vampire...hunter.

Snipes uses similar fighting styles as those he used in Demolition Man with Sylvester Stallone. A combination of Karate, Aikido and Tae Kwon Do, it's awesome to watch. Vampires are dropping like flies.

The movie follows Deacon Frost, a vampire on a mission. He is hell-bent on resurrecting the Blood God, La Magra, and becoming the vessel for the Blood God to use. Blade must stop him at all costs.

The soundtrack to this film also rocks. If you have a home theatre, by all means...CRANK IT UP! It will blow you away. Buy this one today.

Summary: Great Action movie!
Review: Finally a good action movie with Wesley Snipes as the lead actor!
A Great movie that keeps U on the screen and only on the screen.
In the movie, the comic book character has to face a series of Vampires who plan to turn all humans in to vampires. Blade, assisted by a Nurse, His buddy Skipper(Or whatever) and his awesome arsenal of weapons must stop the vampires before it's to late. Great acting and storyline. Some of the best special effects I've ever seen. Unlike some geeky comic book movies, this movie isn't afraid to be gorey and scary. Also, great costumes and fighting scenes. U wouldn't wanna miss this.
