Summary: One of Ford's best movies!
Review: Ford plays the presedent of the US. His plane (Air Force One) gets hijacked. Glen Close plays the Vice Presedent and she is down in the White House while all this is going on. The presedent's protector is on the antitaginist's side.William H. Macy plays a General who has to protect the Pres. through the whole movie. At the end the Pres.,his family, and all the other hostiges get off safe and sound right before the plane crashes. On a sader note, William H. Macy gets shot three times in the chest. Ask anybody whose seen it they will say it was a pretty good movie.

Summary: Pure Fantasy!
Review: I've seen good action movies in my time, but this ain't one of them. Why couldn't they make a movie for once that's more steeped in reality: Where Air Force One gets hijacked and the U.S. Government has no choice but to shoot it out of the sky so U.S. security is not compromised. Now THAT would be entertaining, but not very popular.

Summary: UNNESSARY VIOLENCE AND PROFANITY
Review: THE PLOT WAS GREAT,HOWEVER THE GUN PLAY WAS A BIT TO REAL AND SUGESTIVE FOR ME. WE ARE LIVING IN SOME VIOLENT TIMES IE CULUMEBINE , AND WACO ETC THE LINE BETWEEN RIGHT AND WRONG AND GOOD AND EVIL IS BLURRED.EVEN WHEN JOHN WAYNE SHOT A GUY I DIDN,T CRINGE AS MUCH....

Summary: Watch while standing hand-on-heart and saluting.
Review: Great news for all you fans of good ol' American action movies: word is out that there's a sequel to Air Force One about to go into production shortly. This time there will be more heart-stopping action scenes: we see Harrison Ford, as president again, going hammers and tongs in hand to hand combat on the wing of a F16 Fighter plane that's flying at speeds approaching close to Mach 2. Film execs reason, that if Ford could withstand wind-force of over 500mph on the wing of a 747 jet in the first film, hell, what's an additional 600mph going to do to this hero - ruffle his hair up a bit more?

And, if you feel the need to question the credibility of all this - you ain't no true-blue American patriot; maybe, you should be watching those 'arty' European films that only those with half an education can understand and appreciate. Cheers all and God bless America.

Summary: just another action cliche
Review: Air Force One had some good action, decent actors in Ford and Oldman, and a few special effects. However, the plot not very interesting. I thought Executive Decision was similar but much better. If you like Harrison Ford or a little action, rent the movie, don't buy it.

Summary: Are we supposed to believe this stuff??
Review: The first scene, in which the noble and much-applauded American president circumvents his advisors and chooses conscience and human rights over political expediency, should tip you off right away: neither plot, nor character, and not even the acting, is believable in this waste of a movie.

Summary: This one is a keeper for your collection.
Review: Although the airplane in the movie is nothing like the actual Air Force One, the public will never know the difference. I found several parts of the movie hard to believe such as when the terrorists took over the airplane just as it landed and they zig-zagged across the field just missing other aircraft and buildings then taking off at the last moment to avoid a catastrophie. Harrison Ford is outstanding in this movie and it all comes together in the end when the "good guys" win.

Summary: Excellent movie and DVD package.
Review: Air Force One's premise does require quite a bit of suspension of disbelief, but this is easily done with the fine acting of Harrison Ford, Glen Close, and Gary Oldman.

But what really makes the DVD package so complete is the commentary by the director. Instead of some aimless bantering that often makes up these commentaries, this one is done in an interview style, which helps keep the discussion on track about the film. There are only a few times when others films are mentioned within the commentary, but then the discussion comes right back to the film.

The disk is double-sided, with one side devoted to the wide-screen format and the other side for standard. Although I would have like to seen more information about the production on the film, the excellent commentary presented made up for it.

Summary: THIS MOVIE RULES!
Review: This movie is one of the best I've ever seen. Air Force One is one of the greatest Harrison Ford films in the world! I saw it once in the theater, and twice on video. I plan to buy the DVD version when I've got time. Air Force One is about the terrorists who take over the plane under disguise of newspaper reporters. They get help from a "Presidential" tratoir. This movie is a must-see!
