Summary: A Modern Republic Serial
Review: First and foremost this is not, I repeat NOT, a textbook realistic depiction of our SEALS at work.
Not even close.
In fact, it's quite unfortunate that this film is part of the US SEALS series, because it seems that many viewers are upset that it isn't a documentary. These people completely miss the point.
This is a flat-out Action Flick filmed in an outrageously over-the-top fashion. Everything that happens on screen is gloriously dynamic: characters movements, gestures and even nods are accompanied by whip-crack sound effects. Even a hard stare leaves an aural vapor trail in this movie.
The elaborately choreographed battles, stunts, and jaw-dropping body count will please martial arts and action fans in search of a vigorous cheap thrill.
This is one of the most enjoyable beer & pretzels movies I've seen this year. And any film in which the villain gets vertically bisected by a katana can't be all bad.
Can it?

Summary: Save your money
Review: Horrible, horrible. Unrealistic plot, and the sounds overdubbed are absurd. A guy salutes and there is a sound of a sword whizzing by your head. A guy pulls a gun, and there is a sound of a sword whizzing by your head, etc., etc. Don't see this if you expect a well made action movie. This might appeal to someone under 13, but you'd have to sucker your parent or guardian to take you to see it. Spare them the pain.

Summary: These Seals have taken command...of my DVD player!
Review: I have to admit, I was pretty wary of another US Seals movie, was disappointed in the first. But I decided to check this one out anyway, and am glad I did. The credits reveal a new cast and crew (including a new writer), and the change worked out great. Great action, and great fun, can't wait for US Seals III!

Summary: u. s. seals 2 ---APPROVED!
Review: I read all of the reviews before and most of you made some really good points. while I agree with the one person who hated the movie, just remember this is a low-budget-chop socky-military slightly based action movie. it is fun, a joke and best of all a total popcorn movie. everyone!?----sit back put your brain on hold and enjoy. I have seen some really wretched movies but at least this was fun.

Summary: Not an award winner but this film takes [nothing] from anyone
Review: I rented this not really expecting real Navy Seal stuff but just for fun. I saw the previews and was expecting a good action flick and that's exactly what I got. There are times where I dont care about plot or a good storyline but really who cares when it comes to action flicks. I really see action as works of art not so much as content. Like for example, do you go buy artwork because you can learn from it and actually see how realistic it is and so forth? No. You buy a work of art to admire the skill level of the artist and his creativity and beauty of the work.

I have to say hands down this is one of the best action flicks I've seen in a long time. Wow! the long gone characteristic fight scenes that John Woo did are gone and watered down from his films. This film does not do that. It puts the gore John Woo used to have and the creativity of action that John Woo had. The coreography was absolutely marvelous. This had to have been one of the most beautiful set of action sequences put together in a long time.

Great points: over-the-top action sequences, brilliant coreography, amazing stunt work, great use of what John Woo had done in the past

Bad points: over done sound effects that made it sound way too much like Xena. For example, someone would turn their head and you hear a whoosh sound to make it look dramatic. That could have been left out.

Coolest scene: Last fight scene where the two slice the guy in half from bottom up (yes they show the whole thing---OOOWWW!)

Most amazing scene: Where Billy and the Japanese (sorry cant remember his name right off the top of my head) guy duke it out with the fast foot work.

Coolest John Woo scene: Main character does a front flip and whips out two pistols and unloads.
