Summary: Crazy comedy....
Review: If you have a kickback and open personality, then you probably wont watch this movie with EXPECTATIONS to laugh.. it'll happen naturally. But for those of you who EXPECT things, like Chris Tucker.. this movie isnt for you. I liked Friday, I thought it was good.. I thought Chris Tucker was funny. When I saw Next Friday I watched it with an open mind, open to whatever comedy they would throw at me. I found Mike Epps EXTREMELY funny and was not disappointed at all. I actually OWN this movie and dont own part 1, mostly because I really enjoyed watching Mike Epps and Ice Cube.. they work well together and crack me up.

There are many many more small jokes and characters that will make you laugh, from the next door vatos to Pinky and the african gangster who tries to return a scratched CD. The jokes are incredible and I went into tears many times watching this movie. Watch it and see for yourself. If I could rate the Friday movies, I would list this as #1, the original "Friday" as #2, and the newest "Friday After Next" as the last one (it wasnt as funny and they cheaped out in this one).

Summary: The worst of the Friday series
Review: Next Friday wasn't as funny compared to the original cause there was no Smokey and the thugs in this movie weren't all that funny, the returning characters are Craig, Craig's Dad, Deebo and the next door neighbor Stanley (cameo).

The story is about Craig's father taking Craig to Rancho Cucomonga to protect him from Deebo (who escaped from prison to get revenge). Deebo wasn't as good in this one compared to the original.
Then Craig meets Uncle Elroy, who just won the lottery and his cousin Day Day (he's no sidekick compared to Smokey) and they meet the next door neighbor thugs.
I only recommend this movie to the hardcore fans of Friday and I've seen Friday After Next and it's alot better than this one cause Day Day was actually funny in that one and the whole movie was funnier.

Summary: Great Movie
Review: This movie is extremly funny. I mean from start to finish this is non-stop laughs. Ice Cube, Mike Epps, DC Curry, and John Witherspoon are great actors and comedians. That guy Pinky is hilarious.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: ACUTALLY 4.5 NOT AS GOOD AS FRIDAY
Review: this movie was so funny! this is a good movie. i saw a starz alot. friday was better. but i look forward to seeing "friday after next"

Summary: A Disasterous, Jumbled Mess Of A Movie
Review: After the pure comedic brilliance of the first film "Friday", I was expecting the sequel to be just as entertaining, but not quite as funny without the presence of Chris Tucker.

Unfortunately, "Next Friday" is neither funny nor entertaining.

The writing is very uninspired and shows no creativity whatsoever. Which, of course, affected the performances. Ice Cube is downright dull and Micheal Epps totally lacks comedic timing and screen presence. Unlike Cube and Tucker in the original, Cube and Epps have no chemistry in this film. The jokes are stupid, senseless and are not funny. This movie is a downright disgrace and a complete disaster from beginning to end.

This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Don't waste your money on this one. You'll be sorry.

Summary: Not Friday
Review: The events of this movie take place after Craig's fight with Debo. Ice Cube explains what most of the characters from the last movie are doing now (like Smokey being in rehab). The premise for this story is that Debo has escaped from jail and now wants revenge. To protect his son, Craig's father takes him to the suburbs to live with his oversexed brother and his son until things calm down.

There is plenty of drug use and another theft in this one. This doesn't make it a bad movie, but following the formula of the last movie does not work for this one. Too many of the same gags are recycled for this movie, which means you already have an idea of what is going to happen throughout the movie. Craig's dad is funny, but there is only so much fart humor you can take.

I would recommend giving this movie a skip and watching Friday over and over again.

Summary: Next Friday
Review: In the ghetto streets of LA, California a man by the name of Craig beat up the neighborhood theif and bully Debo. Now Debo seeks revenge towards Craig. Craig father now want him to move with his Uncle Leroy in Rancho Cucamunga, California. Now Debo escaped from prison and wants Craig dead. Craig now lives with uncle and cousin DaDa who is overcomming the fear of being a punk towards people.

The neighborhood he lives in now is the same thing as where he came from. Actually, the same activity goes on there. So Craig adapted to this enviroment quick enough to catch the word that Debo was looking for him. His cousin DaDa holds him out of trouble enough to let his father come and get him.

The movie was funny and will make you scream of laughter. I will recommend this movie to anyone who loves comedy.

Summary: Funny, but the first one was definitely better.
Review: This movie was funnny, it had a good plot, but wasn't nearly as good as Friday. Chris Tucker was hilarious in Friday, and then they didn't have him in the second one. John Witherspoon was great in both movies. So was Ice Cube. But without Chris Tucker this movie didn't compare. I recommend this movie, but if you have the choice between seeing Friday or Next Friday, go w/ Friday for sure.

Summary: disappointment
Review: I loved the original, but the sequel was a definite disappointment. There are some very funny parts, but those are grossly overshadowed by places where you can tell they were trying to funny, but you're not laughing. Mike Epps is a poor sidekick replacement for Chris Tucker.
