Summary: Just a note on packaging
Review: Hi. Love season 5, nothing new to add. Just in case anyone from Fox reads these I would also like to gripe about the packaging. The individual cases for DVD sets, ala Family Guy, KOTH, Futurama, are really much better than the fold out cases of the past five Simspons sets. On the individual cases each episode on the disc is listed on the back, making it much easier to find the episode you're looking for. So Fox, how about breaking with tradition and doing The Simpsons packaging the right way next time?

Summary: FOX Releases the 6th
Review: I am happy to inform all my fellow geeks that the sixth season is coming out in June. This is one of my favorite seasons and I can't wait till June 15th.

Summary: Announced Release Date
Review: On fox.com's "Upcomming Releases" list, it says that Simpsons Season 6 will be released on June 14th.

I expect the same superior quality transfers, extras, and a commentary for every episode.

This season had some of the series' best.

Review: The Simpsons - The Complete Sixth Season (aired 1994-1995, DVD release 2005.)

INTRODUCTION:
The Simpsons is the ultimate animated sitcom. Always has been, always will be. The DVD sets that FOX has begun releasing for the Simpsons are nice, but they take WAY TOO LONG between sets. The Sixth Season, scheduled for release sometime in 2005, looks promising. Read on for my review.

EPISODE SUMMARIES:
Bart of Darkness - The Simpsons get a pool, but Bart breaks his leg before he can use it.
Lisa's Rival - A new student in Lisa's class threatens her unrivaled intelligence.
Another Simpson Clip Show - The family reminisces about lost loves. The second Simpsons clip show.
Itchy And Scratchy Land - The Simpsons take a vacation to Itchy And Scratchy Land, not expecting the violent surprise they end up getting.
Sideshow Bob Roberts - Sideshow Bob gets out of jail again, and runs against Quimby for mayor.
Tree House of Horror V - The family members become helpers at Mr. Burns' cabin, Homer gets a time-travel toaster, and the school begins killing students and serving them for lunch.
Bart's Girlfriend - Bart meets Reverend Lovejoy's daughter and discovers that she is as different from her father as is humanly possible.
Lisa on Ice - Bart and Lisa join an ice hockey league.
Homer Badman - Homer pulls off a gummy candy stuck to a woman's butt, and is accused of sexual harrassment
Grampa vs. Sexual Inadequacy - Grampa and Homer begin selling a homemade love potion.
Fear of Flying - Marge sees a therapist to overcome her fear of flying.
Homer the Great - Homer becomes the leader of a secret society.
And Maggie Takes Three - Homer and Marge recall the birth of Maggie.
Bart's Comet - While being forced to assist Principal Skinner with astronomical observations, Bart discovers a comet - one that will obliterate Springfield if not stopped.
Homie the Clown - A billboard encourages Homer to go to clown college, and become a Krusty stand-in.
Bart vs. Australia - The family takes an Australian vacation so that Bart can apologize for a prank phone call.
Homer vs. Patty and Selma - In a last-ditch effort to get some money to keep his house, Homer borrows from an unlikely source.
A Star is Burns - Springfield holds a film festival.
Lisa's Wedding - A fortune teller tells Lisa about her future.
Two Dozen and One Greyhounds - Santa's Little Helper impregnates a racing dog - who gives birth to twenty-five puppies.
The PTA Disbands - A school strike occurs.
Round Springfield - Bleeding Guns Murphy dies, and Lisa desperately tries to come up with a way to pay tribute to him.
Springfield Connection - Marge joins the Springfield Police, and arrests Homer when he parks illegally.
Lemon of Troy - Shelbyville kids steal Springfield's lemon tree, so Bart forms a gang to go in and retrieve it.
Who Shot Mr. Burns? (1) - Mr. Burns blocks out Springfield's sunlight, which ultimately makes everyone in Springfield want to kill him - and one person tries to. This episode is concluded in the season six premiere.

EPISODE OPINIONS:
Great episodes. There really isn't a whole lot I can say here that hasn't been said before. And it's great that we'll finally be able to see the full-length, uncensored versions of these episodes again (you'd be surprised how much funny stuff is cut from the syndicated versions!) Some previous DVD sets had some edited episodes, but I think FOX is learning their lesson.

DVD:
I think we can expect the same extras we get on every Simpsons DVD set - deleted scenes, commentary, animatics, behind-the-scenes footage, etc. In other words, you won't be disappointed here. I just wish FOX would redo the packaging style so that it was more similar to the King Of The Hill and Family Guy DVD sets - these fold-out slipcases are annoying! Those other sets are the way something like this SHOULD be done!

OVERALL:
When this set is released on DVD, there is no question that I'm gonna buy it. Rather obviously, you'll probably want to do the same.

Summary: Sixth season truly begins golden years
Review: This is the start of the the golden years for the simpsons (seasons 6-9, seasons 5 and 10 are also very good but the show was at its peak in those 4 years). Probably the best season to date, every episode was good and most were insanely funny. Lisa on Ice, Bart's Comet, The PTA Disbands, Homer Bad Man, Sideshow Bob Roberts and Bart of Darkness are a few of the epic episodes. But Lemon of Troy takes it for best episode ever for any sitcom.

Summary: Great Deal
Review: This season should start the simpsons "golden years" although the real golden years are in 7 - 9/10 this should be awesome I still have to finish my Simpsons and Futurama DVDs I got here. And still have to buy season 5 but I know the simpsons! And for all you simpsons fans I would recomend going on a search engine and searching for that simpsons house they gave away and check it out. Or if you also like Futurama, buy The Simpsons 1-3 and Futurama 1-3 altogether on Amazon.com for $165.00 search for Futurama and go through pages till you see Futurama with the simpsons 1-3! A great deal and Amazon.com always has prices cheaper than their original publishers.
