Review: Chiu Man Cheuk takes a chance in this Cat III production film (something like a Mature Rated film). For those that don't know, Cheuk took over Jet Li's duties as Wong Fei Hung in OUATIC IV & V and did a pretty good job...He practices the same wu shu kung fu as Jet, but with different intensity. As a matter of fact, he's been sometimes called the next Jet Li. Anyways, this film is definitely not for minors for there is some nudity and suggested rape scenes. The producer Wong Jing probably wanted to make a movie with everything: great martial arts, good story, and some skin. The story? Two best friends (one being Cheuk) fall for the same girl (Angie Cheung, pretty girl on cover) and Cheuk ends up losing her to his best friend. They all work at the same police force as well. On their wedding night, things go wrong; Cheuks friend is killed, and the bride is raped by 3 killer/rapists. Out of anger, she plots a revenge on these 3 men, and Cheuk helps her out. Angie learns to seduce men and then turn on them (get it...BODY weapon) and you'll learn some interesting things like the male g-spot. No this is not a porn film, but there are scenes that are just degrading to women such as the the killers forcing their female victims to plead for mercy. There are also somewhat rape scenes with clothes on and this may offend viewers, just a warning. The fighting? Cheuk shows his kicking capabilities, but there aren't too many fight scenes, and most of the scenes are in dark areas which can cause some difficult viewing. Cheuk is a good fighter, but there really wasnt anything special here to show it off. This movie mostly shines on Angie showing some skin, and although she does look pretty good, I sort of lost a little interest. There are some pretty ridiculous conversations in the film as well that made think, "Aye...this is stupid". But be your own critic about that. I suggest a viewing totally, but not an owning. To me it's not really worth it regardless of how pretty the girl is. The fight scenes are only average and far too few. For a good Chiu Man Cheuk film, check out Fong Sai Yuk along side Jet Li or OUATIC IV & V. Hope this was helpful.
