Summary: This movie is totally awesome!
Review: This comedy is one of the funniest I have seen in years. I can watch it over and over again and still enjoy it. Walter Mattheu is absolutely hilarious. I would recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys comedy!!!

Summary: Grumpy Old ...Wonderful
Review: This is a fun little film that one never tires of, really. But, also, don't forget...both of these guys are Oscar-winning actors, and there are definite moments in this film that we see exactly why. For instance, how about the look on Walter Matheau's face when the nurse at the hospital asks him "family or friend, sir?" Brings tears to my eyes just thinking of it...good stuff.

Summary: A very funny comedy movie!!!
Review: This is a great and watchable ,ovie, especially if you're a Jack Lemmon(Out to Sea,Grumpier Old Men)! Its plot is great too.

Two old men start to fight over a redhead lady who is their neighbor. They keep competeing with each other to see who will get her. I don't want to give the end away-it's too funny!

This movie is hilarious-especially the take-outs at the end of the movie. The only problem in it is that the plot can get sorta old. Other than that, it's pretty much a must-see. Check out my other reviews for other comedies like the National Lampoon series!

Summary: CLASSIC, TOTALLY CLASSIC
Review: This is a movie for all the guys which have a life a life long buddy. I sit and watch this movie and all I can see is my buddy (GM) and I. This is truley a classic. Matthau and Lemmon are great, no better team in the business today.

Summary: Fun and charming comedy.
Review: This is a quite unusual movie, because it has no young lead characters. The only younger is the men's children and their families. Of the lead characters, the youngest is played by 52-year-old (at the time) Ann-Margret. All the actors are very good especially Lemmon, Matthau, Meredith and Ann-Margret make this movie very good and charming. The writer and director have also made good jobs. I recommend this movie to everybody.

Summary: fun to watch movie!!!!
Review: This movie is my all time fav!!! It's about 2 old men who spend a lifetime fighting over absolutly nothing!! It's just a perfect movie in every way. It has some adult humor and language, but still mild to fit the little ones in the family. Set in Minnesota in the middle of winter in a little town. All was calm untill a beautifull woman moves into a house across the street from who, but the Grumpy old men. And the story of the Grumpy Old Men unfolds, let me add it's a wonderfull funny story that is worth watching. The sequel to this movie is also a great film. Buy the set you will watch them over and over!!!

Summary: They'll ALWAYS Leave Us Laughing......
Review: This review refers to the Warner Bros VHS of "Grumpy Old Men"..

One "Putz", one "Moron", and an eternal Sex Kitten, melt the Minnesota snows as well as your heart in this too fun flick that reunites the late great comedy team of, Jack Lemmon(the"Putz") and Walter Matthau(the "Moron").

They are neighbors John Gustafson and Max Goldman who have been taking swipes and snipes at each other for over 50 years. The gags and gaglines will have you rolling with laughter, as the curmudgeons' feud heats up snowed-in Minnesota, when the beautiful, free-spirited widowed Ariel(Ann Margret) moves in across the street. They'll do whatever it takes to outdo the other for her affections, but when near tragedy strikes, there is no question of their affection for each other.

Joining in the fun is Burgess Meredith, as the hysterically lecherous father of Lemmon(cover the kids ears when he's in the scene), Darryl Hannah and Kevin Pollack, their kids, who may also realize the feelings they've had for each other since the third grade, the wonderful Ozzie Davis, and the always brillant Buck Henry. It was directed by Donald Petrie, with music by Alan Silvestri.
The laughs don't end here though..as there is an equally funny sequel "Grumpier Old Men", with much of the same cast and the addition of the legendary and gorgeous Sophia Loren.

The VHS has a nice clear picture and is recorded in hi-fi. There's a great soundtrack including a wonderful rendition of "We're Having A Heat Wave" by Ella Fitzgerald. It is in a standard format. I did not see it avaiable with the choice of the theatrical release form, which would have been nice with all that snowy scenery(My only reason for four stars). This a memorable Lemmon/Matthau film and you'll love it in any format though.

We'll always have their wonderful films to make us laugh..have fun with this one....Laurie....P.S. Don't miss the laugh out loud outakes during the credits, stay till the very end!

Summary: Good but not great funny movies
Review: Two fun movies with a couple of over-the-hill but still funny classic comediens. Ann Margret is great as the live live to the fullest new neighbor, and Burgess Meredith has a very funny small role as the over-sexed father of Jack Lemmon's character. Sophia Loren is classic as the sexy new arrival, and good showings by Darryl Hannah and others you will recognize. Nothing new or great here, but fun movies for a Saturday night in.

Summary: Matthau and Lemmon are better than Martin and Lewis
Review: Two old geezers, known each other since they were in school, live is same neighborhood, are alot older, but still haven't grown up! I am a Lemmon and Mathau fan from way back, together or alone they are great, but in this case when they get together, they get GRUMPY! If there were more stars to give, I would. The movie is funny, serious, heart warming, a bit of an old guy testosterone fight. New lady moves to town, and the testosterone definitely jumps up... they fight like school boys with a first crush. This is not your wifes "Chick Flick", but men and women alike will enjoy this movie.
