Summary: Tox Box Rox!
Review: Troma may very well make the best DVDs in the world. Every DVD is packed with hours worth of fun extras. Unfortunately, a lot of the extra features are the same on every disc, but you've still got to give the good people at Troma credit for trying. As for the movies themselves, well the original Toxic Avenger is truly a classic. I first saw this movie years ago on the USA network's "Up All Nite," and since then I've been a Troma fan. The early 80's styles are quite dated-looking, but I think it adds to the campiness of it all. Parts two and three, however, are not classics. In fact, Troma apologizes for parts two and three at the beginning of the fourth Toxic Avenger movie! That being said, parts two and three are still a lot of fun, but you have to go in knowing that they're really awful. But the real reason to purchase the Tox Box is for the Toxic Crusaders DVD. Watching this cartoon from my youth brought back a lot of memories, although the Toxic Crusaders cartoon looks much cheaper than I remembered it looking. But hey, it's Troma. Also, I was really surprised at the bonus features on the Toxic Crusaders DVD. Here Troma gives us a taste of two old serials, "Radar Men from the Moon" and "Undersea Kingdom. Be sure to listen to Lloyd Kaufman's director commentary, since the behind-the-scenes stories are sometimes funnier than the movies themselves.

Summary: Toxic Avenger rules!!!
Review: Well to start off this box set is wonderful. I have seen the films on vhs when I was 12 or 13. I have seen Toxic Avenger 3 when I was 16. So it has been awhile. I know my parents bought the box set for me for Christmas. If you have not seen any of these films do so by watching The Toxic Avenger first. I also remember watching the cartoon series. It is a good show it still is. I used to have some of the action figures somewhere but lost them. There was also a new Toxie movie coming out March 18 2003 so that would be a kick ass movie. All in all the Tox Box is a really good set to have. Toxie rules!!!
