Summary: Most Suspensful thing since Hitchcock
Review: This is a very very suspenseful, tense story. I recommend it. I don't want to give it away, but trust me, it's brilliant.

Summary: Addicting
Review: As soon as I watched the first episode, I was hooked. I was on the edge of my seat and went through a mini depression every time I had to shut off the DVD to go to bed (often at an unreasonable hour). I watched all 24 episodes in only a week and a half because I needed a "fix" every day. The action is spellbinding and the writing envelopes you in the plight of the main characters. The real-time element of the storytelling leaves you holding your breath as you wait for something so seemingly benign as a light turning from red to green. Additionally, bravo to 24 for featuring an African American as a serious Presidential hopeful. All around, one of the best televison shows ever.

Summary: This makes me thank God that I have a DVD player!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: 24 is, indeed, the ULTIMATE show to give American Idol, Lizzie McGuire, Charmed, The Real World, Newleyweds, and all other garbage on TV these days a BIG SLAP IN THE FACE! NEVER since Law & Order has a suspense/thriller show been this good! WARNING: This show is EXTREMELY ADDICTIVE- watching 3 or 4 episodes at a time will cause you to watch 3 or 4 more!

I actually only started to watch 24 this season(the third one), and i just recently bought the first season- my hands were sweating during the last hour....

I am currently saving up my money for the second season, look for my review soon.

24 is the greatest TV show to ever exist, PERIOD! ENOUGH SAID! GO BUY THIS, NOW!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Amazing performances
Review: I just finished watching the entire season. I had never seen any of it and did not know what it was about before I started to watch. The episodes were the most addicting and suspenseful I had ever seen. I watched as many as 3 at a time without even getting up. The entire season took me two days to finish! Now I can't wait to watch season two and three. The ending was very shocking to me, and I was rather disappointed with who turned out to be the "mole." I didn't believe that it could really happen that way. Overall, it is worth watching, but be aware that you won't want to stop.

Summary: Get ready to SCREAM at your television set...
Review: If you're a remotley conscious human being with a television, then you know that there are only two stages in human development: before "24" and after. If you're smart and buy this DVD, you will not eat, sleep, or think of anything else until you finish it. And when you do, well...get ready to drop a couple " f bombs", because there will be no satisfying resolutions made. Apparently, the directors want to make you a worthless, sniffling pile of raw emotion, because that's what you'll be if you watch this. But it's worth it. There's some sick, masochistic element of the human psyche that makes you want more, so you should also be prepeared to sell off any expensive items you might own in order to buy Season Two. I just thought I'd warn you. Anyway, on to the show itself. To use the word "addictive" would be akin to referring to Howard Dean as an "idiot" -- it fits, but it doesn't quite give the all-encompassing feeling that's appropriate. Kiefer Sutherland is Jack Bauer, an ex-military counter-terrorist agent in Los Angeles who has to find his kidnapped wife and worthless daughter AND prevent the assassination of presidential hopeful David Palmer (played by the voodoo guy from "Major League") in less than 24 hours. Oh yeah, and he has to do all of this without getting killed or having to change his underwear along the way. There's plenty of action, intrigue, and suspense to keep you on the brink of sanity until the bitter end and just when you think you have something figured out, something will happen that will make you think you've missed an episode. Some of the stuff is silly and nausea-inducing (mainly because of Jack's retarded ho of a daughter), but it doesn't take away from the whole picture. So go and watch "24". Just don't make any plans for the next two weeks.

Summary: 18 Hours of Edge of Your Seat Action
Review: I didn't watch the series on TV, because it competed with another show that I liked. I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband, and started watching it with him. It is sooooo good! The entire series comprises one entire day, 24 hours, during the California Presidential primary. Jack Bauer and the rest of the counter-terrorism unit must try to stop an attempted assassination on a presidential candidate. There are so many plot twists, it is unpredictable. Each episode leaves you immediately wanting to watch the next to find out what happens. It is very addictive. The writing and acting are excellent. I'm ordering Season 2 now.

Summary: **** The best **** Never watched any show like this

Summary: get the amazon package deal NOW!!
Review: I am kicking myself because we just (separately) purchased season one and season two and easily spent well over $100. The Amazon deal of getting both seasons together is the best around! A couple of things to keep in mind before/after your purchase: Season 1 is great as others have said, due to the fresh idea, intriguing characters, etc. I think both seasons will keep you wanting to watch - remember, it's drama, it's acting, it's television (thus some "soap opera" type story lines intertwined, yet connected to the overall plot). Dont over analyze!! It's drama!! Warning to conservative or modest viewers such as myself: I won't reveal anything, but you should be aware there were scenes I was uncomfortable with (in a sexual sense) and had they frequently appeared throughout the series beyond disc one, I would have been disappointed and would have chosen to not continue watching the series. We were disappointed but not suprised that the writers felt they had to include certain scenes to get our interest - we are not so shallow and we may be in the small percentage of people who prefer to watch "cleaner" programming. HOWEVER, with that said, it was worth it to "suffer through" (you and others may not be as bothered by such scenes). Violence is frequent but necessary to the story line. We have not completed season two, and again, aren't as crazy about the "soap opera" type situations or characters that are woven in, but are still hooked and still enjoying. Please remember: If you overanalyze, you may not enjoy the series as much as if you watch in perspective.

Summary: This is a joke!
Review: This series showed so much promise in the begining. There was so much suspense and intrigue, and the show seemed so original, but soon it all fell apart. Not only were many of the plot lines ridiculous, they were also full of holes! For example, when Kim and Terri are being chased after the attack on the safe house, Terri makes a turn to lose their pursuers. She then stops the car and gets out saying she's going to see if they are still being chased. If their is a chance that you are being chased, why would you get out of your car? I don't think you would. I can name many more as well, like when Jack is bugged, how come the transmitter isn't detected when he walks through CTU. It would have to be quite some bug.

I have no idea how this show was nominated for emmies. The acting isn't even that great.

Alias is a much better show. It also has rather farfetched stories but you can probably dismiss them since the show is more along the lines of science fiction and fantasy.

Summary: Great Drama, Will Never Watch Again
Review: Great writing and acting, good tension, snappy drama. Escalating levels of violence, some very disturbing scenes especially near the end of the season.

*spoilers*

I felt betrayed at the end of the last episode of season one. Something happens that made me feel like watching the entire season had been a waste. I was very angry about this and will never watch this show again.
