Summary: The Angels are Back and Better than Ever!!!
Review: After the hugely popular debut season of Charlie's Angels (in fact, it held the record for the show with the highest ratings during its 1st season for many years until ER took the title in the 1990's) and the departure of the show's most popular angel, "Jill" played by Farrah Fawcett, the brains behind the jiggle drama decided to introuduce the new character, "Kris" played by Cheryl Ladd, as Jill's younger sister. Replacing a main star after only one season was a huge risk, but the results were spectacular as audiences fell in love with the spunky new Angel, and the ratings for the show increased over those of the previous season!

In its 2nd season, Charlie's Angels started to mature as a television show with better writing and acting. Although the same dyn-o-mite chemistry that existed between the Angels of the original trio was missing in the 2nd season, that which did exist between Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith, and Cheryl Ladd took the show in a different direction. Namely, the show stopped taking itself so seriously, which allowed for more comedic situations to occur between the characters, and it broke up the sometimes monotonous angels-in-peril theme of the episodes from the 1st season.

The DVD packaging for this season is an improvement over that of the 1st season, with heavenly artwork throughout the DVD set and with the discs presented in a bound booklet-style holder. The only real down-side to the DVD set is the editing of the first 2 episodes, "Angels in Paradise" and "Angels on Ice," each of which originally aired as 2-hour episodes, but appear in the DVD set as 2-part episodes which were edited for syndication. Also, the DVD set offers no extra features, which isn't that great of a loss as the episodes alone are well worth the price.

At this point, I imagine that Columbia-Tristar is going to hold onto any extra features until the release of the 5th season, in order to help fill out the DVD set (it was a shorter season due to writers' strikes) and to help boost sales (the season was unpopular among viewers, sliding out of the top 20 in the ratings). At any rate THANK YOU, Columbia-Tristar, for season 2 of Charlie's Angels-- we're all looking forward to the remaining angelic episodes!!!

Summary: Great! 110% Guilty Pleasure - It's Entertaining!
Review: Although the theatrical movies have given people an altered idea of what the Angels are like -- the TV show still remains to be unmatched by Drew, Cameron, and Lucy.

Jaclyn Smith, Kate Jackson, and Cheryl Ladd are now Charlie's Angels in Season 2 -- Cheryl Ladd (who plays Kris Munroe) replaces Farrah Fawcett who became quite the bombshell-blonde beauty with the help of her character Jill Munroe (older sister of Kris).

This DVD set contains over 20 episodes of Kelly Garrett, Sabrina Duncan, and Kris Munroe, with the aid of Bosley and the super-elusive Charlie, go around solving crimes and most of the time finding their own lives in danger when they suddenly become near-victims. Each Angel has her own distinction .. Sabrina is the smart one, Kris is the beautiful, cunning blonde babe, and Kelly is the stunning, tactful brunette. With these 3 women working on the same team, it's no wonder that they're able to get the job done!

Each episode is filled with suspense, humor -- and it's just all around entertainment that will leave you wanting to see more! -- But unfortunately, the other seasons of this pioneering television classic have yet to be issued out on DVD..so, you'll just have to wait for that -- or catch re-runs on Nick At Nite or TV Land!

Summary: I love Charlie's Angels
Review: Charlie's Angels is by far my favorite show. I even like the Shelley Hack and Tanya Roberts episodes. This DVD is wonderful, some much fun to see all this episodes again. I just love Cheryl Ladd. She is one of my favorite angels. I just wish they would have Angels in Paradise and Angels on Ice not broken up into two episodes but would have put them on the DVD as the original 2-hour shows there were. Still a lot fun. Most of my favorite shows are from the 70's and early 80's. Great fun. Let's hope season 3, 4, and 5 will also be released. I'm also a big Shelley Hack fan.

Summary: Charlie's Angels - The Complete Second Season
Review: Charlie's Angels were wonderful because they were smart, attractive, and active. In Season Two, they play football, hang glide, ride horses, play tennis, sing, play guitar, ice skate, enter a beauty pageant, and so on. The Angels prove that they can hold their own, anywhere, anytime. Farrah Fawcett left Charlie's Angels after Season One. Although she does guest star in the third and fourth season, she does not appear in the second season. She was replaced by Cheryl Ladd.

Here is an episode guide, with a tiny description:

9. U.F.A's (Unidentified Flying Angels): When a wealthy woman disappears, the Angels investigate a foundation that believes in UFO's.

Summary: A MUST HAVE
Review: I am a big Charlie's Angels fans and I couldn't wait for its release on DVD. After a bit of disapointment with the season 1 box set (what a cheap packaging !!) I've been really pleased with this one, which is much, much better(though unfortunatly has no bonus :( I think that interviews of the angels, producer, or the 2000 tb show whould perfectly fit in here). The show just deserved it. The quality of the DVDs are good as is the sound. Though a lot of fans see season one with Farrah as the "real" show, I must admit that season 2 contains some of the funiest episodes (Angels on ice e.g), nad my favorites :. Cherryl Ladd does great as Jill's little sister, Jaclyn Smith is as beautifull as always, while Kate Jackson is defenitly THE STAR OF THE SHOW, the most beautifull and above all the best actress (no wonder she was the on who get nominated for Grammy's!). Some think that Farrah was the star of the show, but Kate was it, Charlie's angels survived her departure, but after Sabrina left the show just became embarassing with Shelley Hack trying to act... So, a wonderfull box set and now I am waiting for season 3.

Summary: Timeless Appeal
Review: I am a huge Charlie's Angel's fan and was very pleased when they released season 2. Interestingly enough, Charlie's Angel's originally aired in 1976, which is the same year I was born. You know that something is truly special when it still has an impact on people nearly 30 years later, and Charlie's Angels has that "timeless appeal". Season 2 introduces a new angel in Cheryl Ladd, who was a perfect replacement for Farrah Fawcett. The first season showed great chemistry between the three women, and season 2 has the same feel to it. My favorite episodes from season 2 include Angel Flight, Angel Blues and Hours of Desperation. Angels on Ice had some very humorous, entertaining moments. I am hoping that they will follow up with the remaining seasons. I feel that Kate Jackson's departure may have hurt the series mainly because she was known as "the leader", and "the smart one". Also, her departure was very abrupt, and they did give a lot of insight on the show as to why she left, unlike with Farrah, who returned for guest appearances. However, the show still had some great episodes even after Kate Jackson's departure and I would love to have the full 5 seasons to make my collection complete. I would also like to mention that I have heard that they may come out with a new Charlie's Angel's t.v. series. If they do, I hope they make better choices for the t.v. series than with the movie that came out. The new angels don't even come close to rivaling the classic beauty of Jacklyn Smith, Farrah Fawcett, or Cheryl Ladd. If they do make a new series, here are my suggestions for actresses who could be "the new angels" : Angie Harmon, Alyssa Milano, Charlize Theron, Catherine Zeta Jones, Cindy Margolis, Jessica Simpson. These women have that "classic Angel" beauty and any, or all of them would be great choices for a new Charlie's Angels series for 2004.

Summary: Welcome Kris Munroe!
Review: I am so grateful that Sony decided to release the second season of Charlie's Angels on DVD! I pray they follow up with the three remaining seasons as well. Season 2 is my favorite season for a number of reasons. First of all, the tone of the series changed with the introduction of Kris Munroe. In Season 1 the episodes were much more adult oriented, but in Season 2 there was a blitz of toys being marketed towards kids and the show became a bit campy. Having a rookie Angel on the payroll soothed this transition, for with Kris came a sense of humor. Having posed for the extreme undercover roles of a toy mannequin ("Mother Goose is Running For His Life"), a clown ("Angels on Ice"), and a nudist ("Angels in Paradise"), Kris was clearly a team player. Cheryl Ladd proved her worth throughout the run of the series by allowing Kris to evolve from the spirited innocent who first bounced into the Townsend offices and into a more world weary mature woman by the end of Season 5. Her major turning point is depicted in "Angel Baby" in which Kris shoots a man for the first time.
In addition to Sabrina & Kelly receiving a new partner, the Angels performed some of their best detective work in several of the episodes, most notably in "Angels in Paradise" in which they go up against two rival Hawaiian mobs, stage a jail break, and rescue a kidnapped Charlie. Bosley also gets much more involved in the cases than he did on Season 1.
The picture and sound quality for this box set are better than that of Season 1, but I am only giving it four stars because Sony has done the unthinkable in editing two of the episodes. Instead of giving fans the series as it originally aired, the first two episodes "Angels in Paradise" and "Angels on Ice" are cut up just as they are in syndication. I was looking forward to this set mainly to have these two episodes as they originally aired. Let's hope that if Sony does release Season 5, they do not cut up the first episode "From Street Models to Hawaiian Angels" which was changed to "Angel in Hiding" for syndication and is missing the most important scene in which Kelly & Kris learn that their suspect Julie Rogers is actually working on the same case as them.
Despite Sony's extreme laziness with this issue of editing the two part episodes, I still highly recommend buying this DVD box set. As far as I'm concerned Charlie's Angels was the greatest prime time drama in the history of television and am thrilled that new generations will get a taste of it via DVD.

Summary: Charlie's Angels Rules!
Review: I bought this as soon as it came out. Of all the Angels Cheryl Ladd was my favorite. Reading and earlier review it stated that Kate Jackson (Sabrina) and Cheryl Ladd (Kris) didn't get along. When you watch you can see it. Most of Ladd's scenes were with Jaclyn Smith (Kelly). But still this was a great series. I remember in college rushing home to watch it on WGN who showed the whole series in chronological order.
I can't wait for seasons 3-5.

Summary: Season 2 At Last...
Review: I have to say that I love Charlies Angels and have all the episodes taped from the TV (even the 4th and 5th seasons) and bought Season 1 when it came out as soon as it hit the shelves so I stumbled onto this little gem by accident an pre-ordered it at once. Does anyone know what the extra's are if any the last box set had very little but the picture quality was excellent and the sound fab!.
as for season 2 i feel of the Kate Jackson Seasons this is the weakest thats not to say it is not excellent but I prefer season 3 and season 1 will always be a classic...
For me there is way to much slap-stick style humor in this season with episodes like "The Sammy Davis Jnr Kidnap Caper" "Pretty Angels All In A Row" and "The Jade Trap" being good examples of this though the latter is not a bad episode.
Also "Angel in the Wings" is truly an awful episode (yes I know Cheryl Ladd can sing but to build a whole episode around it....).
Moan outta the way there are mostly good eps standouts are the baby selling racket of "Angel Baby" the Angels trapped on a Plane with the pilot out for the count in "Angel Flight" The Psyco killers of "The Sandcastle Killer" "Little Angels Of the Night". all in all well worth buying but i cannot wait for season 3....(Will they do 4&5 I wonder)
