Summary: Fluffier than most, but still a good lesson
Review: "Larry Boy and the Fib From Outer Space" relies more on comedy than the previous videos, but the gist of it is completely in tune with the series.

Junior Asparagus accidently breaks his father's favorite bowling plate, and a tiny blue creature from space called Fib offers him a way out: tell a tiny, tiny lie and say his best friend broke it!

When Junior lies again, he becomes more and more enmeshed in his untruths, until he can no longer escape them. And he can't escape Fib either, who has grown to monstrous size... and only Larry Boy, the cucumber with toilet plungers on his head, can save the day. Or not.

This video is aimed at kids, but has the rare humor in it that appeals to adults and kids alike. BONUS: A bizarre music video, "Larry Boy" is at the end,

Summary: GREAT Christmas gifts! It is available! Look around.
Review: All of the Veggie Tales videos (including this one) contain pertinent lessons for teaching children the correct way to approach life's problems in a delightfully entertaining way using talking & singing vegetable characters. They are so appealing that normally easily distracted children will be mesmerized by them for the duration of the video.

Summary: Watch it with or without the children around
Review: Another great video from Big Idea! My wife and I continue to sing "It's Laura's Fault" long after the video has finished. ("How was I know to know he hated Art Bugatti?") Also, the Larry Boy music video is fantastic. Listen to the drummer! Our two-year-old daughter yells "I AM THAT HERO!" right along with the video.

One Warning: Because of this video, we had to go out and buy our daughter the stuffed Larry Boy toy. (Super Suction Ears to the Rescue!)

Summary: "Larry-Boy Fever is sweeping the Nation!"
Review: Batman? Superman? Noooo- the greatest hero has got to be Larry-Boy! This video is the Greatest! He's so funny and so is Alfred! They have great morals and are all and all- FUNNY! In the words of Larry-Boy: "I laughed, I cried, It moved me."

Summary: Entertaining and memorable.
Review: Big Idea Productions, which creates the Veggie Tales videos, has a catchy marketing slogan that goes, "Sunday morning values with Saturday morning fun," and this video embodies that slogan. In LARRY BOY AND THE FIB FROM OUTER SPACE the world is introduced to the 1960's Batman knockoff in the form of crimefighting, well, cucumber. This entertaining video continues the Big Idea trend of increasing production values through more sophistcated textured animation as well as witty, hip dialogue, and memorable tunes. Of especially important note is the Larry Boy theme song. This is a Billboard Top 40 quality song all about, you guessed it, Larry Boy. The video is morally nurishing and fun for kids and adults. Very recommended.

Summary: Disappointing
Review: Having seen "Lyle the Friendly Viking" and "King George and the Ducky", as well as a friend's son's Larry-Mobile toy, I was looking forward to this.

Sadly, it wasn't nearly of the caliber of the other videos. Though my four-year-old loved it, my husband and I found it predictable and slow, which we DID not feel about the other Veggie-Tale videos. There are clever moments, but I have no urge to watch Larry-Boy and the Fib from Outer Space again, and, since I don't like my daughter to watch TV alone, she won't be seeing much of it either.

Summary: Great entertainment and moral values for kids any age!
Review: I can't say enough good things about this video and the rest of the Veggietales videos. I have 5 children, ages 15-2 years, and they all like Veggietales...even though my oldest will not admit it. My 2-year-old is very busy and doesn't sit still for anything....except Veggietales. No matter how many times I play the video, he acts like it's the first time seeing it....it never gets old! Not only are these cartoons wonderfully written and animated, they teach everything from sharing, caring, honesty, bravery, obedience, respect, self-respect, responsibity, and most importantly....believing in God, seeking His will in our lives, and realizing His abundant love for all of us. You can't go wrong with these videos, they are the best!

Review: I love Veggies Tales! I bought this video and find myself stopping to watch it every time my son is watching it. The dialogue is so hilarious! It has a lot of tongue-in-cheek stuff that only adults understand, which makes it even funnier! I love that it teaches a different lesson in every movie. Right now I only have this one and "Larry Boy and The Rumor Weed" (which is great too), but I fully intend on owning the entire collection! It's great to have something that you *want* the kids to watch!!! No sex or violence here, just good clean fun. And the kids get a bible lesson in every video. How great is that?! (PS The Larry Boy video is great! I find myself singing it all the time.)

Summary: Another great hit by Big Idea Productions
Review: I loved to watch as Larry and Bob taught my kids about the danger of lies. My kids could not get enough of it and still sing the songs even when the show is off. I am anxiously awaiting the next Larry boy movie. It was great not only for my kids but also a great reminder for us adults.

Summary: This is Veggietales?
Review: I was disappointed in this video. I was expecting more wholesome, "green-leafy fun", but found instead a film-noir style of batman imitation. I purchased this before checking it out. I'll think twice before adding another new video to our Veggietale library.
