Summary: Unlikely viewer in love
Review: I am 14 and have pink hair on weekends listen to rock and saw this on the History channel! I am one of the most unlikely people you would ever find to enjoy this movie as much as I did. I find it surprising even to myself. I have an obsession with it now. I have never been into older movies at all but this has given me a new outlook on the creativity and genius of drama before my time. I even went to the trouble of looking up articles on the real Bonnie & Clyde. This is a rough sketch of the way their life really was but the outline is great, but how can it be expected to be completely accurate on people who lived their lives like that? I think it is so intrigueing the way they were always on the run and looked after each other. They had a lot of struggle and she ran away with a stranger to live a different life. GOSH this movie is so good! There were some hollywood effects that are there to bring you more into the movie (their inncocene driven out by rebellion of the depression, their amazing passion, Clyde's ummm impotency)but they work so well! The love between them was so beautiful I was amazed. My favorite scene is when Bonnie runs away to see her mom and he chases her down and begs her never to leave his side again. It is so sweet. Who wouldnt adore a love like that. I guess I like it so much because it is so uncommon in a world like this. Besides the movie the actors are great. Warren Beatty may be a little old now be he looks totally sexy in this movie and Faye Dunaway is a really gorgeous woman. Everyone is the movie does a great job.I am about to buy this movie I haven't been able to get it out of my head. Now on nights I find myself watching the history channel and AMC.

Summary: it really happened like that, just like that, yeah right
Review: Ok so history wise this movie is horrible but this is a masterpiece of cinema and story telling.

I agree romance between Bonnie and Clyde is potrayed with perfection. The acting is very very great, the actors probley got notes and some acting direction from Warren Beatty judging from his later work.

Never ever ever see the pan and scan version, man does it ruin the film! I was suprised seeing the differences between the two, pan and scan is very claustrophobic and cuts 50% of the picture out. GO WIDESCREEN!

Summary: This is what a movie is supposed to be.
Review: This movie is perhaps most famous for its powerful action sequences. The robbery scenes exposed audiences to a whole new level and degree of violence in film. And it wasn't just violence for the sake of violence. It was done stylishly and in a realistic, believable manner. Furthermore, the violence was necessary to help in telling the story.

But more importantly, this movie is about the relationship between the two primary characters. And their relationship is so much more complex than what occurs in today's movies. In today's movies, people just jump in to bed, without any serious character interaction. But Bonnie and Clyde were different. A glance, a smile, a light touch on the shoulder. All of these things are done in such a powerful way. When Bonnie simply looks at Clyde, there is more character expression in that one glance than there is in most entire movies that are made today. This movie doesn't have any graphic sex scenes. And it doesn't need them, either. Instead, it relies on dialogue and other nonsexual interaction to let us know how the two main characters feel about each other. And that is one of the main reasons why I find this movie to be so captivating.

Review: This movie is one the greatest films ever made and it also stars the greatest actor of all time, Gene Hackman in a small, but vital role as Buck Barrow. This movie is a must see for action fans everywhere who enjoy the gritty life of criminals in love

Summary: Glorifies murdering thugs.
Review: There are some decent biographies of Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker out there. They detail the senseless murders that those two eventually committed and also point out the fairly small amount of cash that the Barrow gang succeeded in robbing during their spree. Of the movies made about them, and there were several, this is probably the best Hollywood flick. But it really doesn't show them at their worst. It does not for example show Clyde abusing animals, which he was fond of doing.

When this movie came out, it came to be regarded as a real sensation. Recall that The Graduate, which came out about the same time, was criticized as being too graphic.

Frank Hamer and his posse were critcized at the time for having ambushed the two. It's worth noting that at least one member of the 4 man posse had grown up with Bonnie, in much the same circumstances, and knew her parents.

All that said, several of the shootouts that happened prior to the last ambush appear to be fairly accurately depicted. C.W. Moss is a composite of several assistants that they had traveling with them.

Summary: Disgusting
Review: Bonnie was a little snot that could only think about her self. Clyde was a curl and brutal greedy pig that thought he could be cool by running around and robbing banks. They tried to make them look like they were thieves but still kinda nice. The reason I gave it five was for negative five. I hated it!

Summary: Nice, but too unrealistic.
Review: I remember accidentally seeing this movie a couple of years ago, just flicking through the channels on T.V. Before that I hadn't even heard of Bonnie and Clyde, and I thought the movie was brilliant. But it wasn't until recently, it came to my mind again. I felt a sudden urge to see the movie, not remembering a whole lot about it. But I had a hard time finding it, so I started reading about the two outlaws instead. I collected loads of pictures and information, and it was truly fascinating. Then I finally found the movie. But to my surprise, the movie that I once loved so much, now seemed lame and inaccurate. Of course, there was no way the movie could contain ALL the details, but I still wasn't satisfied. Bonnie and Clyde actually drove around together for 2 and 1/2, but in this movie it seems more like a couple of months. I think this movie leaves out some of the parts that really shows us how devoted Bonnie and Clyde were to each other. Here's an example: About a year before Bonnie and Clyde were killed, Bonnie got serious burns over her body, mostly her legs. After this, even though the wounds did heal, she could never walk very far by herself. So everywhere they went, Clyde carried her. He never left her side for more than a few minutes. My point is, the real Bonnie and Clyde went through a lot more together, than what this movie shows. They were not only lovers, they were bestfriends. I don't think this movie proves that point very well. It never seems like the characters make a real connection. But then again, that may just be my opinion. To be honest, the only reason why I kind of like this movie, is because it's about Bonnie and Clyde.

Summary: Thumbs down for Warner Brothers!
Review: Great movie! Lousy DVD sound quality. It has a nasty hum at times and is too quiet. I had to increase the volume of my dolby digital surround system to its maximum level, which under normal circumstances would get myself evicted from the premises. Another Warner Brothers DVD that has this problem is THE SHINING. I will be very cautious before purchasing any Warner Brothers DVDs from now on.
