Summary: There are Better DVD Editions of Charade!
Review: Charade is a 5 star movie and the acting and chemistry of the handsome, debonair Cary Grant and the beautiful, classy Audrey Hepburn is wonderful! If you are looking for a good quality recording of this classic gem you may want to buy the new anamorphic widescreen Criterion DVD rerelease of Charade or if you are looking for a less expensive DVD you can buy The Truth About Charlie DVD which also includes as an added bonus feature on the other side of the DVD an anamorphic widescreen edition of Charade which is of good quality! I bought a used Truth About Charlie DVD to get a good edition of Charade and I'm now thinking of buying the new Criterion DVD for the extra features.

Summary: Good movie. Cheap DVD.
Review: CHARADE is an excellent, classic movie and is worthy of a 5 star rating. However, this particular DVD by Front Row Features is not the best. LETTERBOXED EDITION is printed on the case, but the movie is the full screen version. The picture is of poor quality. If your looking for a good DVD of CHARADE, there are better versions around.

Summary: great movie, horrible transfer
Review: I was very pleased to find this movie so cheaply recently...but when I put it in my DVD player, it was too fuzzy to even be watchable...I hadnt realized a DVD transfer could be this bad. So while it is a good 4-out-of-5 stars kind of movie, I wiould suggest looking seriously for a different brand than Front Row. Its certainly possible that I just got a bad copy, but i wont be risking my money on their products anymore.

Summary: Package innacurate
Review: This is a good film, BUT this particular product by Front Row Features is not a good transfer (as stated in another review) PLUS the package clearly states that it is the "letterbox" version and it is the full screen version.

Be very careful if you are considereing buying a "Front Row" product. I've purchased two others so this is not based on a one time purchase. They are inexpensive, but not great. Remember the old saying, "you get what you pay for".

Summary: You get what you pay for.
Review: This is one of the worst transfers of a film I have ever seen on a DVD. As stated previously, this is in full screen, not letterboxed widescreen as the package indicates. Go for the Criterion version. It's much more expensive, but worth it.
