Summary: Best satire since Wayne's World
Review: Zoolander is going to go down in history as a cult-classic. You'll either love or you'll hate. The comedy is foolish and stupid like Wayne's World, yet you can't help but fall on the floor laughing. Directed and starring Ben Stiller, an actor and director who is bound to bloom over the next 5 years, this movie has shown the diverse nature of Stiller. Ususually cast in awkward, tongue-twisted men who always set fire to the screen, Zoolander (a nim-witted, gorgeous fashion model) gets hyponitized to kill the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Zoolander pokes fun at the fashion industry, models, and government conspiracy theories. Don't take the movie seriously, and don't expect mature comedy. This movie allows you to laugh at the simple things. Stiller's father, Jerry Stiller, plays the head of Balls Models, the man behind the conspiracies. Stiller's mother and sister are also cast in smaller roles. I suggest buying the DVD, the extra features are even funnier than the movie.

Summary: Huh?
Review: "Zoolander" is one of those screw-ball comedies that comes out every once in a while. I didn't hate the movie, but I'm definitely not head-over-heels for it.
The cameos in the movie are superb and I was suprised to see people like, David Bowie, Donatella Versace, and David Duchovny as a former "hand model." It really does have its funny parts, and mocks hilariously at models and the fashion world.
The plot is stupid, but you just have to sit back and laugh at the performances. Ben Stiller is always hilarious, and his father, Jerry Stiller, is even funnier as the manager of "Balls Models". Will Ferrell of "Saturday Night Live" is a riot. He plays a designer named Mugatu, who brain-washes Zoolander.
If you like comedies, I would at least rent it.
Overall, I don't think its a memorable movie, but it is definitely entertaining.

Summary: Overrated
Review: The laughs wear out quickly; it gets off to a good start with Stiller's preening/pouting model shtick but that same gag gets milked ruthlessly for the next ninety minutes. Jerry Stiller and Will Ferrell are good in supporting roles but it's far from their best stuff. People seem to compare this to "Old School" a lot but it's definitely not in that league, although it's okay for a goofy comedy. I'd give it two and-a-half stars if I could. A bad cameo by the totally useless Paris Hilton drags it down a half star at least.

Summary: A lot of laughs
Review: Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson are easily one of the funniest comedy duos in Hollywood history, and are probaly the best in Hollywood today. The movie stars the two of them in this funny comedy directed by Ben Stiller.

Ben Stiller is Derek Zoolander one of the top male models in the world. Derek has been brainwashed by the evil Mugatu(Will Ferrel) to kill the prime minister of Malaysia. Matilda(Taylor) a reporter for Time finds out about the plan and warns Derek. Zoolander must then team up with his formal rival Hansel(Owen Wilson) to foil there plan.

Ben Stiller is great in the movie. He directed, produced, and wrote this movie. He puts a lot of energy into the picture and you can tell. He takes the role so serious and it's so funny. The character is so dumb it will just keep you laughing.

I like Owen Wilson even better in the movie. His character Hansel is kind of crazy or as he likes to say "Loco Esay." I love him in the walfoff in the movie. Nobody is as funny as Wilson when he's trying to act serious. I also like the rants he goes in the movie.

Will Ferrel is good in it. He's not as good as he could of been, but he's still good. It's not that big of part. If they had given him more material to work with this could have been so much funnier.

Zoolander is a funny movie. It comparison to the other movies they've done together I'd say I liked it the least. It's not as funny as Starsky and Hutch, The Royal Tauenbaums, or Meet the Parents. This still however is very good movie and I'm glad I own it.

The DVD extras on the movie are decent. There are some deleted scenes, extended scenes and commentary by Stiller. The movie trailer and other promotional spots are also on the disc. I liked the skit where the character Derek Zoolander was founded. It's one of the extras thats included. Overall i'd give the extras 4 stars especially since the extras are on the same disc as the movie.

Zoolander is a good one. If you want a funny movie to watch then I'd definetly get this one.

Summary: One of the best comedies of last year
Review: Zoolander is one of those films where a silly sense of humour is required. It's based on the New York fashion scene, with dimwitted model Ben Stiller being brainwashed to assassinate the prime minister of Malaysia. This seems essential to the big fashion corporations as the prime minister has passed new laws to end the child labour on which their careers survive. By taking such a fantastic concept the film enters into a fairly expansive parody of fashion and people's preoccupations with it.

Although there are several scenes of note, it is Stiller's over-the-top, exaggerated performance (complete with silly walk and frown) that make this movie worth seeing. Whether he's pouting at the camera or prancing down the catwalk he is constantly funny. In many ways the humour of the movie is like Charlie's Angels in that it never takes itself seriously. This is a parody but in no way a serious one and isn't afraid to have a little bit of harmless, stupid fun on the way. When Stiller's character insists to his roommates that to alleviate their sadness they go to have orance mochas and they all break into dopy grins, it's one of the movie's best moments.

Obviously this is a subject that's easy to lampoon but you can't help but love a film that's as earnest as this. Like Josie And The Pussycats made a point of saturated media imagery, so does Zoolander with a huge amount of celebrity cameos from Winona Ryder to Gwen Stefani to Vince Vaughn. Even Stiller's parents are there. Yet even though this movie belongs to Stiller, there's a nice supporting role from Christine Taylor (Stiller's wife and previously seen in The Wedding Singer and The Craft). Ultimately this is a movie that will make you feel good, but not in a sappy way, and thankfully even the happy conclusion has a fair bit of humour injected into it. This isn't as good as the sharply observed Meet The Parents, but it's still one of Stiller's best.

Summary: THREE AND A HALF STARS!!
Review: I laughed alot in this movie as it was so hysterically funny. Between the take-offs from other movies, to the "Wham" scene with the roommates, and Derek Zoollander's stupidity, I was continously laughing and have a great time at this movie.
It's about a very dim-witted male model, Derek Zoollander, played with great comedic talent and timing by Ben Stiller. He's programmed by an evil fashion designer, played by Will Ferrell of SNL fame, to assinate the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Owen Wilson, who I absolutely love in everything I've seen him in, plays Hansel, the new male model and competition for Zoollander. They are both totally stupid but funny at the same time. Are male models really this stupid? I definitely think this movie goes a little over the top with it's comedy, but it's a great vehicle for Stiller and Wilson. There are many cameos by other actors and actresses. David Duchovny, of X-Files, does a cameo of a washed up hand model. You won't recognize him, but his voice gives him away. Now for the romantic interest, which was kind of lame. Christine Taylor, who played Marcia in the Brady Bunch movies, is a reporter, who is trying to help save Zoollander from the evil doings of Ferrells' character.(I can not recall his name) She and Zoollander, who are married in real life, develop into something.
The ending of the movie is what brought my grade to a 3 1/2 stars as opposed to 5 stars. It was very lame, I feel that it could've been better executed. But in a nutshell, I would recommend it for a zany day of laugh filled movie viewing.
While the comedy in this film was extremely zany and over the top, one should just go with the flow and have fun at this movie.
My husband took it way too seriously. I myself was a little disappointed at the ending of it, but all in all, it was a great time at the movies because I haven't laughed that much at one in a long time.
I have been a fan of his since his show, and I like all his movies. I did like this movie alot!!! and other Stiller fans will appreciate it too.

Summary: Obey my dog!
Review: Best comedy ever. Classic movie with classic moments in every scene. Yeah, it's corney, but that's what it's trying to be. If you start watching the movie knowing this, you'll love every scene.

Obey my dog!

Summary: Ben Stiller very over-rated
Review: Ben Stiller may be the flavour of the moment, but he is definitely over-rated in my opinion. I finally saw "Zoolander" after avoiding it for some time. Granted, there were a few funny moments (eg. Merman) but this film is really aimed at people who have the lowest IQ. Ben Stiller acts the same in all his films, so it was no surprise to me to find that he acted the same in Zoolander. Same facial expressions etc etc.

I think I'll stick to films where actors work hard at their craft.
