Summary: Run little Gay Erkel run!
Review: This movie is urban slapstick at it's best. Just as Friday was, The Breaks is a classic. Although it may never get the props it deserves. I hadn't even heard of this movie, and might not even know about it if I hadn't caught it on at a friends house, she told me it was "really good" so I sat and watched it. She was on point, I am so glad I got exposed to this movie. It's so funny, there were more times then I can remember in it where I was laughing out loud. It's scene after scene of stupid antics & at times gross humor. The scene with the 2 prostitutes had me dying! Mitch Malany is great in it, I think it would have been funny even if a "brother" had played the lead role. The writing is just that good, but the fact it's a white boy in the hood makes it that much better. He pulls off the white who think's he's black role with perfection. I also love how clueless he comes across. The entire cast is funny, and there is definitely chemistry between them. Renaldo Ray as Dereks (Mitch) Uncle, all I can say is wow! I can only hope there is a sequal. Well only if can follow in the steps on this one. I can't see a 2nd one possibly being better, this is one of those movies that was done right in every aspect.

Summary: Break it down
Review: This was a cute movie. Light heartedly spoofs black street culture as seen thru the eyes of a white boy raised by a black family. While this is no "Jerk" it had its funny moments.
A special appearance by funk legend George Clinton in a jailhouse seen that has a cute black knowledge Q&A game show segment.
Many movies are spoofed along the way. Most notably, "Pulp fiction"
Some funny bits, but its no "Friday" with Chris Tucker.
But hey its only 9 bucks, what do you expect?

Summary: What a Joke?
Review: This was a stupid movie about some white guy tryin' ta act black. I'm not diggin' it. There were some funny parts in it but it was for the most part stupid. You can waste your money renting it, but buying it would be a crime.

Summary: What I think about The Breaks
Review: Well, Did you see the movie or do you expect me to tell you what the movie was about? Well if laughing while watching a great movie is something you haven't done for a while, well then pull up your favorite chair and let the laughter begin.<br />

This zany cast is a great bunch of typical teenagers with a desire to walk the thin line of insanity. All the ingrediants for a future cult classic. Watch it and you'll be hooked. By Richard A. Meza . no relation to Eric Meza
