Summary: Oh good god no...
Review: I try REALLY hard not to write negative reviews on this site. I realize that things like music and movies are subjective, and I don't really think criticizing such things adds much to the debate. However, I couldn't resist in the case of "Eight Crazy Nights" because it absolutely sucks. I'm not Jewish, but if I were I think I'd be pretty offended by this attempt by Adam Sandler to milk the holiday to add a few more bucks to his pile of money. This movie consists entirely of cheap humor and even cheaper sentimentality, making no effort to actually earn a laugh or any real emotion. I chuckled mildly about three times during this movie, and I think that may have been because I was bored. I'm not some snob who only likes "intellectual" movies either; I've actually enjoyed every other Sandler movie except for the equally atrocious "The Waterboy." But this drivel is just completely worthless. All those affiliated with this movie should be beaten sharply about the heads and shoulders with blunt objects at the earliest possible convenience. Oh, and the original Hanukkah song stopped being funny about four years ago, so the third version tacked onto the end of this snoozathon isn't helping matters.

Summary: Eight Crazy Nights Rocks!
Review: Hey everybody,
Holiday time is coming and this new movie from Adam Sandler is one of the funniest movies I ever seen. I mean, how can I said this without giving much of the movie away? Well Adam Sandler plays a 30 year old man who hates the hoilday season. This guy those a lot of bad things during the hoildays and his the type of guy that everyone hates, but yet from all his cruel jokes and pranks, his also the type of person that you love to know. So what I'm saying is, go see this movie, its the best movie I seen this year. Oh also after the movie is done, stay after to hear Adam Sandler new Hoilday Song.

Summary: BEST ANIMATED COMEDY SINCE SOUTH PARK
Review: I'm the first to admit that I was more than just a little skeptical about seeing this movie after reading dozens upon dozens of bad reviews on various noteworthy sites. However, I took a chance and went to see "Eight Crazy Nights" on Sunday, and it was by far one of the FUNNIEST movies I've ever seen......animated or not. I swear, I laughed so hard throughout this entire movie to the point where my sides were aching!

One thing that needs to be made CRYSTAL clear is the fact that this is not a kids' movie by any means. I think the trailers and commercials for "Eight Crazy Nights" are rather misleading in regards to this fact. I realized this when I saw at least 5 sets of parents bring their children to see it.

This movie doesn't try to be the next animated marvel. It seems that many critics fail to realize that, and put the movie down because of its mere simplicity. It's a simple movie with a simple plot, intended for a teen-to-adult audience, in addition to catering to Sandler's loyal fanbase.

Much like "South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut", this movie contains profanity (not as much mind you) but it's there, as well as various sexual innuendos, and plenty of noisy bodily functions. lol.

If you clear away the comedic purpose of the film, etc. There really is a touching plot to this movie. In short, a town troublemaker gets in deep with the law. With his back against the wall, a kind, old man offers him a chance of redemption and appoints him as the Jewish Youth Centre's assistant basketball coach. I won't give it all away, but the story gives true meaning of friendship and hope.

I know, everyone's a critic....and I guess I'm one of them. But truth be told, this IS a great movie. It's not for everyone. If you're easily offended, may I suggest "Santa Clause 2". But for those of you who are willing to let go of your senses for 70 odd minutes and have a good laugh, then you really can't go wrong with this one. I guarantee it.

Summary: Eight Crazy Nights
Review: While in the commericals, it is labeled as "ouragously funny" or "pure humor" I did not find this movie to be funny at all. Adam Sandler is my favorite actor and I expected this to be as funny as most of his movies are, but let me tell you i was truly bored by the end of the movie. The funniest parts of it, were broadcasted on the commericals, so by the time the movie came out there was nothing to laugh at except for how stupid it was.

Summary: Funny movie, may not be appreciated by some viewers
Review: This is one of the funniest cartoons I've ever seen. I'm thinking the critics who didn't like this either didn't understand the humor or were just too biased because they tend to not like Sandler movies. The people I saw it with were in their mid 20's, college grads, male and female, and they all liked it. The musical numbers were good, with only one I didn't care for. Others had told me there were too many songs, but they thought it was very funny overall. The humor however has to be appreciated and this movie may be targeting exclusively the under 30 demographic. I definitely empathized with the characters, especially whitey. A fun movie, not meant for the whole family, or young children. Don't just listen to the critics, this movie seems to be beyond their realm of humor.

Summary: Had a lot of promise...
Review: This film had a lot of promise. The humor, if you could call it that, was the main detractor from the film. I enjoy a sophomoric humor flick just as much as the next guy, but there were several times here where I nearly broke my rule of never walking out on a film. The diffrence here is that other films have sophomoric humor in tandem with a decent story, and don't flood the story with the humor. "American Pie 2" is a good example. This movie takes the same rank as "Not Another Teen Movie" or the "Scary Movie" series: a waste of time and money.

Sandler really is hit and miss. "The Waterboy" and "Big Daddy" were fun. "Happy Gilmore," "Little Nicky," and "Billy Madison" were tolerable at best. This is just bad.

"Anger Management" looks good from the previews, but that's what I said about "Eight Crazy Nights." Let's hope "Anger Management" actually is funny.

Summary: Best Animated Chanukah Movie thats rated PG-13
Review: Adam Sandler has done it agian. No, not make another bad movie, but rather an interesting film about Chanukah and that other holiday. This movie will make you laugh, cry, and go home with a warm feeling in your pants.

Summary: I'm BACK! O yeah.... i'm supposed to write a review.... yeah
Review: ...

Anyway, Eight Crazy Nights is the exact oppposite of Adam Sandler's preceding film, Punch Drunk Love. And in the first 15 minutes of it, Sandler loses all "critical credibility" that he gained in his last movie... which isn't necessarily a bad thing...

The movie tries to be too many things at once. It attempts to be a grossout teen-flik while at the same time, tries to be the warmhearted holiday film.

Overall, if you like adam sandler, see it. it'll be worth... yyeaahh..

Summary: A Funny, charming and fun animated film for the holidays.
Review: This animated Feature is co-written and stars Adam Sandler in three roles. It's set in a town where the folks despise a unlovable drunken jerk named "Dave" ( Adam Sandler) who gets busted on a second strike then does Community service in order to keep him out of trouble, he is helping a short yoda-like old man Coach ( also voiced by Sandler) in order to get a medal, then Davey becomes a real scrooge but someone has to bring the joy of season to him.

Exciting, hilarious, greatly drawn animated feature from the makers of "Iron Giant" yet this animated flick ain't for kids due to some sexual rererences, language and tasteless jokes but this is more for adults. Sandler is very talented in playing three characters.

Also recommended: It's a Wonderful Life, Scrooged, A Christmas Carol, South Park: Bigger Longer and Uncut, Beavis and Butt-Head Do America, How the Grinch Stole Christmas ( animated.)
