Summary: One wild pair!
Review: Never has there been a mix of scary vs. funny in one movie such as the classic paring of Abbott & Costello meeting horror monsters: Dracula, Frankenstein and the Wolf Man. Many "one-liners" throughout this whole movie. After watching it probably 40 times through the years, it never becomes boring. It makes great family fun. Never could today's writers and actors touch something this classy. Truly, one of a kind movie.

Summary: CLASSIC MONSTER MAYHEM
Review: I can't sum it up any better than the other reviewers have. This movie is just a class act all around. There are those that think it a disgrace to the classic monsters but that would have only been true if the film hadn't worked so well. I used to watch this every time it came on TV when I was I kid & bought it on video several years ago. I watch this movie 3 to 5 times a year more so than I watch any of the other UNIVERSAL films. ABBOTT & COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN has me laughing everytime right off the bat. The scene in the baggage room is filled with more laughs than a room full of hyenas. The only thing that would have made this even more of a monster fest is if the CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON would have popped up out of the water when they jumped off the boat in the end.

Summary: Fun, a must have!
Review: This is a movie that is a tradition to watch at Halloween time with my family. Funny, and great to watch over and over again.

Summary: The best A&C film ever
Review: This is my favorite A&C film by far, although I like even the not-so-good ones occasionally. My favorite part of the film is when Wilbur (Costello) is reading about the legend of Dracula and the coffin lid keeps creaking open each time he tries to continue reading! This scene alone is worth the price of the video, in my opinion.

Summary: When will this classic be available on DVD? wake up MCA!
Review: Not only is this A&C's best, its one of the best of the Universal Horror classics, spoof or otherwise!! As a HUGE Lugosi fanatic, it's heartwarming to witness Bela's return to the Dracula role. I'm on my 3rd factory copy, and am wondering when MCA/UNIVERSAL will give this one the collectors edition treatment on DVD. I'd love to see a David Skal produced documentary on this baby!! There's 5 or 6 titles i'd have a hard time living without... but this is without a doubt my "desert island" flick!

Summary: Bud and Lou at their best
Review: What makes this film so funny is that the monsters are not comedic in their roles. They continue with their plots as they usually do. And YES, Bela Lugosi revamps his role! Imagine Lou Costello going through one of his infamous stuttering routines while the stoic Count Dracula hovers straight-faced behind him. The climax of the film is of course Vincent Price as the voice of the cigar smoking Invisible man. The only bad thing about this film is that it is the Swan Song for all of the classic Universal monsters, and none of the actors or characters have reprived their roles ever since. I've seen it over 50 times and each time is as funny as the first

Summary: HEY ABBOTT IT'S ANOTHER GREAT CLASSIC!!!
Review: This is the greatest Horror/Comedy film ever. I bought this film years ago and treasure it. Costello is at his all time funniest, Abbott is at his all time best "straightman setup", Chaney, Lugosi, and Strange are no doubt at their best as well. Dracula wanting Costello's brain for Frankenstein's body, and Chaney there to "warn" Costello. Costello is the intelligent one who tries to let his friend Abbott know. The only thing bad about this film is no one received Academy Awards for their parts, they all deserved one.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Bud and Lou have done better.
Review: The really sickening thing about this "classic" is that people probably wouldn't like it if all of the scary scenes were taken out. Bud and Lou's only unfunny feature is filled with gloomy settings and great set pieces, but its plot is weak and drained for satire. Almost a waste.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: JEEPERS, THE CREEPERS ARE AFTER BUD AND LOU.
Review: The BEST horror-comedy ever made. Charles Barton does INCREDIBLE job directing this classic. Starring the famous comedy team Bud Abbott & Lou Costello. The story of how this classic "meet" came about is interesting in itself. In 1948 the script writers at Universal Pictures had a serious problem - What do next with Abbott & Costello ? Then one writer came up with a brainstorm - He figured out that since Universal still owned the movie rights to "DRACULA", "THE WOLFMAN", and "FRANKENSTEIN" that it would be a GREAT idea to have them run into Bud & Lou. And great it was because it turn out to be the team's BEST and FUNNIEST movie. This vehicle gave Costello the perfect opportunity to use his patented wide-eyed scaredity cat routine,as he continuously tries to convince Abbott about the strange people and goings on that he keeps seeing. But ALL these things happen when Bud,as is usual in most of the team's films, IS NOT around to see them. IT NEVER occurs to him to turn around and see what all the commotion is about. Of ALL the film's highlights, the ONE that stands out, is the ending where we hear the voice of the late Vincent Price as "THE INVISIBLE MAN". Again 5 STARS this side-splitting, roll-on-the-floor classic.

Summary: the most creative comedy from abbott@costello
Review: its nice to have a story you can sink your teeth into//no pun intended!!! this production is slick, nicely paced, and funny. the team seems to be up for this one. the only negative aspect is the opening scene where abbott is slapping costello for real..its looks painful..the supporting cast is 1st rate which adds to the enjoyment of this film.
